BEEF BRISKET CROCK-POT

Beef Brisket Crock-Pot image

This recipe was developed and given to me by a good friend. This is the way that my friend's mother and sister make beef brisket. This recipe is so good! Gravy comes out brown and slightly sweet. Brisket will melt in your mouth.

KELLY'S CROCK POT "SMOKED" BEEF ROAST OR BRISKET

Kelly's Crock Pot

This is awesome! If you love brisket or beef cooked in the smoker and just don't have time to, or maybe the weather won't permit- you have to try this. I have used EVERY cut of beef roast or brisket, it always comes out great! Enjoy!

  • DO NOT ADD ANY LIQUID TO THE CROCKPOT!
  • Place in crock pot and cook on low setting for 8-10 hrs (10 for a larger cut of beef).
  • Unwrap beef and serve with the "smoker" juices in the crock pot or with your favorite barbecue sauce.

CROCK POT BBQ BRISKET

Crock Pot BBQ Brisket image

This easy slow cooker beef BBQ Brisket is tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It is cooked slowly over the day as the flavor from the brisket rub infuses into the meat making an amazingly delicious brisket with very little effort!

Provided by Kimber

Categories     Dinner

Time 6h10m

Number Of Ingredients 11

4 lb Brisket (see note)
1 cup bbq sauce ((I used Sweet Baby Rays here))
1/2 cup beef broth
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in the rub and mix to combine.
  • Rub the brisket on all sides thoroughly with the brisket rub.
  • Combine the barbecue sauce and broth in the bottom of the crock pot and mix. Lay the brisket on top of the BBQ sauce.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
  • Remove brisket and slice, or shred, and return to sauce mixture.
  • Serve hot with your favorite sides, on a bun, or on a baked potato.
  • Once the brisket is done in the slow cooker, remove the brisket (in one piece) and place it on a baking sheet. Line the baking sheet with foil for easy clean up.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 450˚F to get the smoked BBQ brisket color and texture on the outside of the brisket. The outside of the brisket will darken in color and the edges will begin to crisp as the inside stays tender and juicy.

CROCK POT BEEF BRISKET SANDWICHES

Crock Pot Beef Brisket Sandwiches image

This is a pretty simple recipe, and I'm sure people are already making these. BUT if you were looking for ideas, sometimes things as simple as this goes a long way at the dinner table. I thought of making this on a whim one day while roaming the meat isle, and to my surprise it's one of the dishes my family loves. It also smells really good while cooking. This does make quite a bit, so freezing for a rainy day is a very good option. Just put in the microwave at a later date and serve it up again. Although in this house, we are usually fighting over the left overs the next day. Enjoy!!

Categories     One Dish Meal

Time 8h5m

Yield 8-12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

3 -4 lbs beef brisket
barbecue sauce, your favorite, enough to cover beef brisket (I prefer Charlie Robinson's Brown Sugar)
1 large onion (sliced wide)
3 garlic cloves (Diced fine)
8 -12 buns, your favorite
cheddar cheese (Sliced thick) or American cheese (Sliced thick)

Steps:

  • Put beef brisket in crock pot.
  • Top with your favorite BBQ sauce. Just enough to cover the meat.
  • Place onion slices and diced garlic on top of meat.
  • Cook on low for 8 hours. When done, use a fork to shred the meat. (Poke the meat and then pull down with the fork) Once shaved it will mix with the BBQ sauce nicely.
  • Serve on a fresh bun of choice and top with either a thick Cheddar or American cheese slice. Another alternative could be melted Velveeta. Make sure each sandwich has a little bit of the onion slices in there, it really adds to the flavor and texture.
  • I usually serve this with a little side salad for a quick dinner.
