Creamy Swiss Chicken Bake has three different varieties of cheese, that is, cheddar, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. Apart from the heavenly cheese combo, this dish includes sour cream and cream cheese that adds to the gooeyness of this chicken dish. Also, you will love the lovely tang added to the dish by the sour cream.

Number Of Ingredients 10

Chicken breasts, 2 skinless and boneless
Cheddar Cheese, 1 cup, roughly grated
Mayonnaise, ¼ cup
Sour cream, 1 tbsp, low fat
Cream Cheese, 1 tbsp, low fat
Mozzarella cheese, ¼ cup, finely grated
Salt, ¼ tsp
Black pepper powder, ¼ tsp
Garlic cloves, 4 large, minced
Parmesan cheese, ¼ cup, shredded, to top over the chicken

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Clean and pat dry the chicken breasts. Transfer the chicken breast in to a clean and dry baking dish. Evenly sprinkle grated cheddar cheese and keep aside. In a bowl, add mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, salt, black pepper powder, minced garlic and mix everything until well blended.
  • Spread the mayonnaise mixture evenly over the cheddar covered chicken breasts. Now evenly spread shredded parmesan all over the chicken and transfer the baking dish in to the preheated oven. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the chicken cooks well. Serve hot and enjoy!

6-8 Slices Swiss Cheese (Mozzarella works too)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese (divided)
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
Cooked Rice to serve over (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375. Pat chicken dry and place in a greased 9x13 pan. Add sliced cheese on top of chicken breasts. In a bowl mix mayonnaise, sour cream, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Spread this over chicken and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese. Bake for 1 hour. Serve over rice if desired or serve alone.

5 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup chicken broth
¼ cup Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place chicken in a large baking dish. Scatter mushrooms around and sprinkle with Swiss cheese. In a small bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, and chicken broth. Pour sauce mixture over chicken.
  • Bake the chicken breasts in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 50 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Remove from the oven and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and return to oven. Bake for an additional 5 minutes.
