FRUIT JUICE POPS

Fruit Juice Pops image

I've used this recipe for years as a refreshing treat. My children enjoyed these pops more than any store-bought ones I ever brought home. They taste great with either pineapple or orange juice. Try freezing and serving in cups made from hollowed-out oranges. -Barbara Stewart, Garland, Texas

Provided by Home Fresh Ideas

Categories     Desserts

Time 6h10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

¾ cup fresh or store-bought orange juice
¾ cup canned pineapple juice
3 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
¼ cup + 2 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 ½ cup heavy cream

Steps:

  • Add the pineapple juice, orange juice, vanilla, sugar, and heavy cream to a high-quality blender. Turn it on and whip for 2-3 minutes. Letting it whip will give the orange popsicles time to blend together incorporate the ingredients. Plus the heavy cream will have a chance to thicken up. It needs to be slightly runny. You don't want it to get too thick or it won't pour easily.
  • Pour the pineapple cream popsicle mixture into the popsicle molds. Then freeze the ice pops for 6 hours and enjoy!
