CREAMY CUSTARD PIE
Steps:
- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Heat your prebaked pie shell in the oven until hot for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350 degrees.
- Whisk together the cream, eggs, sugar, vanilla and salt together in a medium bowl. Sprinkle nutmeg on top of pie as desired.
- Place pre-baked pie shell on baking sheet and place on middle rack of oven. Pour custard mixture into the pie shell and bake for 50-60 minutes. You'll be able to tell when it's done by doing a simple jiggle test. Try gently shaking the pie pan and if the center of the pie jiggles slightly, it's done!
- Bake until custard has set around edges, but jiggles slightly in the center when shaken. Cool to room temperature before serving. Best served refrigerated.

OLD FASHIONED CUSTARD PIE
Growing up we had this pie every year at Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's simple but decadent. If you've never had Custard Pie before, it's a little bit like Creme Brulee in a pie crust. This is wonderful served chilled with REAL whipped cream. Enjoy.

STRAWBERRY CUSTARD CREAM PIE
This pie starts with a delicious custard placed in a baked pie shell, then a layer of halved fresh strawberries is added and then topped with luscious freshly whipped cream. Custard can be made ahead and pie assembled just before serving. Awesome!

CREAMY RHUBARB CUSTARD PIE
This is the best Rhubarb Custard Pie that I have ever come across. It is a hit even with those that think they don't like rhubarb. This is a good one to start the Spring fruit season with as Rhubarb is the first fruit to come ripe in the Spring.

CREAMY CUSTARD PIE
Our family loves custard pie, and we enjoy this variation of my usual recipe. The buttermilk gives a slightly tangy taste to the pie and the orange zest adds a nice, bright flavor to the custard. (Time for the pie to cool completely is in addition to the cooking time below.)
