This simple Creamy Crock Pot Ranch Potatoes recipe is absolutely delicious and has a great pop of flavor! It is a great way to change up dinner flavors!

6 medium russet potatoes (peeled and cubed)
8 oz block cream cheese (cubed)
2 oz ranch dressing mix ((2 - 1 oz envelopes))
2 tablespoons butter (sliced)
2 cups water

Steps:

  • Combine all your ingredients in your 3-quart crock pot
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours (If cooking on high, watch carefully at the end. When the ingredients start to bubble up, switch to low for remaining time.) Stir occasionally through cooking.
  • Sauce will be thin when the potatoes are done, let it rest for 30 minutes with the crock pot off and lid removed for a thicker sauce.

8 - 10 medium potatoes
1 can cheddar cheese soup
1/4 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sour cream
1/3 cup onions
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter
parsley flakes for garnish (optional)

Steps:

  • Cook potatoes, cool, remove jackets and cut up in square pieces.
  • In sauce pan, place other ingredients; soup, butter, sour cream and onions. Cook over medium heat and stir until blended.
  • Pour over potatoes in crock pot and cut 2 tablespoons of butter into slices to lay on top of potato mixture. Cook on low setting for 3 hours.

  • In a small bowl combine cream cheese and salad dressing mix.
  • Stir in soup.
  • Add potatoes.
  • Cover - cook on low heat for 7-9 hrs or on high heat 3 1/2-4 1/2 hours.

4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1/2 cup celery, diced
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon lemon pepper
1 (13 ounce) can evaporated milk
12 ounces American cheese (cubed or shredded)
1 cup flour
2 large carrots, diced
8 large potatoes, cubed
4 chicken bouillon cubes
1 teaspoon garlic powder
6 ounces sour cream

Steps:

  • Combine water and flour in a jar and shake until mixed well.
  • In a 5-quart crock pot, combine all ingredients except sour cream, cheese and evaporated milk.
  • Cook on low 8 to 10 hours.
  • During the last hour of cooking, add evaporated milk, sour cream and cheese.
  • When final ingredients are melted it's ready to eat.

I usually have these going in one crock pot and my meat in another. It is so nice to have a complete meal ready when you come home.

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 lbs potatoes (about 6 medium)
1 cup water
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, thinly sliced
10 ounces cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 slices American cheese

Steps:

  • Peel and thinly slice potatoes and place in a medium mixing bowl.
  • In a Pyrex measuring cup, mix together water and cream of tartar. Pour mixture over potatoes; drain but don't rinse.
  • The cream of tartar keeps the potatoes from turning brown during cooking. You can use this method for any crock pot recipe that calls for potatoes.
  • Place half of potatoes in bottom of crock pot with half of the flour and sliced onion. Sprinkle half of the flour on top. Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add remaining potatoes, onion and flour. Dollop butter over top of potatoes.
  • Spoon undiluted soup over top next.
  • Cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours and on High for 3 to 4.
  • Thirty minutes before serving add cheese by breaking it into small pieces; blend it.
  • I have doubled this recipe for my Rival 5 quart slow cooker and it turns out great.

8 ounces small curd cottage cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup Velveeta cheese, cubed

minced chives, for garnish

Steps:

  • Place cubed potatoes in crock pot.
  • In a food processor or blender, puree the cottage cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  • Combine Velveeta, onion, garlic and salt with cottage cheese/sour cream blend, mix well.
  • Pour over potatoes and mix well.

4 russet potatoes, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
1 onion, sliced into rings
salt and pepper
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Lightly spray crock pot with cooking spray.
  • Place half potato slices in bottom of crock. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Layer half the sliced onions.
  • Repeat with remaining potatoes and onions, seasoning as you go.
  • In a sauce pan melt butter. Add flour and salt and cook for 1 minute.
  • Whisk in milk and cook until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add cheese all at once, whisking until melted.
  • Pour over potatoes and onions in crock pot.
  • Set to LOW heat and cook for 5-6 hours until potatoes are tender.
