Crispy, fried to perfection pastry wraps around savory smooth cream cheese filling for a homemade version of everyone's favorite restaurant style Cream Cheese Wonton.

8 ounce cream cheese (softened)
2 Tablespoons green onion (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
wonton wrappers
oil for frying

Steps:

  • In a small bowl add the cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder and salt and beat until creamy.
  • Lay a wonton wrapper on a non stick surface. With your finger wet the edges of the wonton wrapper. Add about a teaspoon of the cream cheese filling and bring up each corner creating a star and seal tightly.
  • In a medium sized saucepan add 1/2 inch of oil along the sides. Heat to medium high heat. Add the wontons to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy 2-3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and set on a paper towel lined plate. Serve with sweet and sour sauce if desired.

½ cup crumbled feta cheese
1 carrot, shredded
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 egg yolk
½ teaspoon chopped fresh basil, or to taste
½ teaspoon chopped fresh parsley, or to taste
1 (12 ounce) package wonton wrappers
⅔ cup soy sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Mix cream cheese, feta cheese, carrot, garlic powder, egg yolk, basil, and parsley together in a bowl.
  • Place a wonton wrapper on a work surface and wet the corners of the wrapper with a moist finger. Spoon 1 teaspoon of filling in the center of the wrapper; fold wrapper over the filling, sealing the edges shut. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling. Place wontons on a baking sheet and brush with soy sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until corners of wontons are brown, 10 to 12 minutes.

8 oz. cream cheese ((225g))
2 teaspoons sugar
½ teaspoon salt
4 scallions ((finely chopped))
1 pack wonton wrappers
Vegetable oil ((for frying))
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon honey
½ teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon Sriracha ((optional))

Steps:

  • Make the wonton filling by combining the cream cheese, sugar, salt, and scallions.
  • Assemble the wontons. Take each wrapper, and dampen the outer edges with a thin layer of water. Place a teaspoon of the cream cheese filling in the middle, and fold in half into a triangle. Bring the two corners on the long side of the triangle together, and seal with another dab of water. Continue until all the wontons are assembled.
  • Heat a couple inches of vegetable oil in a small pot until it reaches 375 degrees F. Fry the wontons in batches--about 2 minutes per batch--until golden brown. Definitely use a small pot for this and fry in multiple batches; you'll use much less oil!
  • Make the dipping sauce by combining all the sauce ingredients, and serve with the wontons.

  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, crab and onion. Place 1 rounded teaspoonful in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten wrapper edges with water; fold in half lengthwise and press firmly to seal. , Keeping the filling in the center, again fold wonton wrapper lengthwise. Moisten the top of the short edges with water. Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  • Lay wonton wrappers on prepared baking sheet. Place 1 teaspoon cream cheese in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  • Lightly brush edges of wonton wrappers with water and fold each wrapper in half to form a triangle. Press edges to seal. Fold the tips of each triangle up together so that they meet in above the center of the wonton and press tips together to seal. Spray assembled wontons with cooking spray.

8 ounces cream cheese
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 cup apricot-pineapple preserves
4 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 cup white vinegar
3 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
4 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Combine cream cheese and powdered sugar.
  • Place 1 tsp of cheese mixture in wonton wrapper and follow package instructions on how to form wonton.
  • Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • Place wontons on cookie sheet and spray tops with more cooking spray.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 400°F.
  • Combine all ingredients for sauce mixing well.
