Steps:
- Place all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake until the granita melts completely. Pour into a martini glass and serve immediately.
- Place the water, cranberries and sugar into a small saucepan, set over medium-high heat and simmer until the berries begin to pop, approximately 7 minutes. Remove from the heat. Puree with a stick blender, blender or food processor, for 1 minute. Pass the mixture through a fine mesh strainer directly into a metal 13 by 9-inch pan. Do not press on the skins. Simply allow the juice to drip through the strainer. Add the zest and stir to combine. Place in the freezer until set, at least 6 hours and up to overnight. Once frozen, scrape the mixture with a fork to create a shaved ice texture. Serve immediately.

- Blend cranberry juice, vodka, Grand Marnier and lime juice. If you desire 'fizz' add one cup of club soda. Taste and if you prefer add the rest of the club soda.
- It is best to refrigerate all ingredients before mixing. You may add ice if cesired to the pitcher, stir briskly and serve.

- For the mulled cranberry juice: Combine the cranberry juice, brown sugar, cloves, star anise and cinnamon in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce to medium-low and simmer for 30 minutes. Let cool to room temperature before placing in the refrigerator to cool completely. Strain just before using.
- For the punch: Combine the vodka, triple sec and 4 1/2 cups of the mulled cranberry juice in a large punch bowl over ice or a juice ice mold (see Cook's Note). Stir to combine. Garnish with the orange twist if using.

- In heavy medium saucepan over moderate heat, combine cranberries, sugar, and 1/2 cup water. Bring to boil, stirring often to dissolve sugar, then reduce heat to moderately low and simmer, stirring often, until thickened and reduced to about 3 cups, about 15 minutes.
- Transfer to medium bowl and cool, stirring often, until tepid, about 30 minutes. Stir in vodka and liqueur. Transfer to serving bowl, cover, and refrigerate until chilled and set, at least 2 hours. (Sauce can be made up to 2 weeks ahead and refrigerated.) Serve chilled or at room temperature.
