Ingredients

3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup margarine, melted
1 cup pecans
3 tablespoons semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 unbaked pastry shell

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°F
In a medium sized bowl, beat together eggs, add in sugar and mix well. Mix in corn syrup, salt, vanilla, and margarine.
Place pecans and chocolate chips in pie shell. Pour mixture over nuts and chips. The pecans will rise up to the top when baking. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Chill before serving and between servings.

My favorite part of Pecan Pie is the top. I have never been a fan of the middle, but I eat it. Anything from the Coca Cola Cake to the Peach Cobbler is fantastic at the Cracker Barrel. Adding the chocolate to this pie, well it has to be good.

1/4 c melted butter
1 c pecans, halved
3 Tbsp semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 plain pie crust

Steps:

1. Preheat oven to 350F. In medium sized bowl, beat together eggs, then add sugar, mix well. Mix in corn syrup, salt, vanilla and butter. Place pecans and chocolate chips in pie shell, pour in mixture. Pecans will rise to the top when baking. Bake for 50-60 min.
