Steps:
- In a small bowl, whisk together all of the dressing ingredients and set aside.
- Slice the ham into 1/2-inch strips. Spray a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and preheat over a medium-high heat. Add the ham to the skillet and cook over stirring frequently, until the ham is warmed through and crisped, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and set aside.
- Remove and discard the yolk from 1 of the hard boiled eggs. Chop the remaining egg white and whole egg and set aside.
- In a large bowl toss the romaine and watercress with 2/3 of the dressing. Put the dressed greens onto a large serving dish. Place the tomatoes on top forming a row down the middle. In strips on either side of the tomatoes place the avocado, chicken, cheese, diced egg, and the crisped ham on top of the greens. Drizzle with the remaining dressing and serve.

COBB SALAD WITH HAM
This salad is a complete meal and perfect for those hot days when you really don't want to spend too much time in the kitchen. I used deli ham but leftover baked ham is delicious in this salad.

COBB SALAD WITH HAM AND HOMEMADE DRESSING
This is a great way to utilize leftover ham to change it up into a completely different meal. It's also a great way to clean out the fridge with things that need using up. Ham and blue cheese both have a salty flavor so I chose to leave bacon out, but feel free to add it if you wish.

CLASSIC COBB SALAD
Making this salad is a lot like putting in a garden. I "plant" everything in nice, neat sections, just as I do with seedlings. -Patricia Kile, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania

COBB SALAD
The Cobb Salad was originally created by Bobb Cobb who owned the Brown Derby Restaurant in Hollywood, California. This version comes from Michael Bonacini who owns a restaurant in Toronto, Canada...is a chef on the Food Network and a regular guest on my favourite talk show. You can use goat's cheese or feta instead of roquefort and you can substitute the chicken with turkey, ham or shrimp.

TOSSED COBB SALAD
I love Cobb salad and this version is easy and very tasty! I think a good dressing can take an ordinary salad and make it something special and this dressing does just that.
