1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
½ cup slivered almonds
1 cup cooked rice
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
½ cup water
3 tablespoons soy sauce
5 ounces chow mein noodles

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large skillet over medium high heat, saute the ground beef for 5 minutes. Add the onion and celery and saute for 5 more minutes.
  • In a separate medium bowl, combine the almonds, rice, soup, water and soy sauce. Mix together well and add to the beef mixture. Place this into a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Top with chow mein noodles.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes.

1/4 cup butter
1 medium onion (diced)
2 stalks celery (sliced)
1/4 cup flour
1 cup milk (or part milk, part cream)
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp soy sauce
2 cups shredded leftover (cooked turkey)
8 oz bean sprouts
1 14- oz bag chow mein noodles
Salt and Pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • Melt butter over medium heat in a medium-large sized pot. Add onion and celery, and saute 1 minute. Add flour and cook, stirring, 1 minute more. Add milk or cream in a gradual stream, stirring constantly to incorporate. Stir in chicken broth and soy sauce. Cook until simmering and thickened, about 6 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine turkey, bean sprouts and 3/4 of the chow mein noodles. Pour the creamy sauce over top, and toss to thoroughly combine. Taste and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spread mixture in a baking dish (of 2 1/2 - 3 quart/litre capacity; 9x13" works well) and sprinkle with reserved chow mein noodles. Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

1/4 cup teriyaki sauce (from 10-oz bottle)
1/4 cup water
1 can (28 oz) stir-fry vegetables, rinsed, drained
1/2 cup chow mein noodles
1/4 cup cashew pieces, if desired
Additional teriyaki sauce, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F. In 10-inch nonstick skillet, crumble beef; sprinkle with garlic pepper. Cook over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until brown; drain.
  • In ungreased 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish, mix beef, rice, broth, 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce and the water. Stir in vegetables. Cover baking dish with foil.

1 cup mung bean sprouts (rinsed and drained)
Optional: 1 clove garlic (chopped)
For the Sauce:
1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the Noodles:
2 cups noodles
3 to 4 tablespoons cooking oil (for stir-frying, as needed) divided
3 cups cooked turkey meat

Steps:

  • Gather the ingredients.
  • Mix together sauce ingredients, whisking in cornstarch last.
  • Cook noodles according to package directions.
  • Heat a wok or frying pan over medium-high to high heat.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of oil. When oil is hot, add mushrooms and stir-fry for a minute.
  • Remove from pan, add more oil, and stir fry celery and red bell pepper.
  • Remove from pan, add more oil, and stir fry onion and garlic.
  • Add turkey to pan. Cook for a minute, then add other vegetables back into pan.
  • Stir in bean sprouts.
  • Add sauce.
  • Bring to a boil, add noodles, and mix everything together.

2 bags boil-in-a bag, cooked (white or brown rice)
2 cups celery, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (10.75) can condensed cream of chicken
1 (10.75) can condensed cream of mushroom
2 tbs worcestershire sauce
4 tbs soy sauce
5 oz chow mein noodles
1 cup water
1 tsp red pepper flakes ((optional))

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
  • Start boiling water for the 2 boil-in-a bag rice packets. In a large skillet over medium/high heat, saute the ground beef until almost fully browned. Add the onion and celery and saute for 5 more minutes.
  • In a separate large bowl, combine the cream of mushroom, cream of chicken, water, soy sauce, worcestershire sauce, red pepper flakes (exclude chow mien noodles).
  • Once rice and 1.5 lbs of ground beef are cooked, add both to soup & sauce mixture. Stir.
  • Lightly spray and pour mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish.
  • Top with chow mein noodles.
  • Bake uncovered for 20 minutes. Enjoy!

Of course, you can substitute chicken or pork also.

1 Stick Butter (or less)
2 Cups Chopped Turkey or Chicken (approx.)
1 Medium Onion, Chopped
2 tsp. Salt
Dash of Pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. Soy Sauce or Soy Sauce Alternative
2 Cups (approx.) Diced Celery
1/2 Cup (appox.) Shredded or Diced Carrots (for color)
2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
2 Tbsp. Water
1 1/2 Cups Turkey/Chicken Broth or Water
2 Cans of Bean Sprouts, drained and rinsed
Optional: Sliced Water Chestnuts, Mushrooms

Steps:

  • Melt butter in the wok or saute' pan. Saute' onion, celery, and carrots in butter until tender-crisp. Approximately 20 minutes. Saute' in the chopped turkey. Add 1 1/2 cups poultry broth or stock. Add the rinsed bean sprouts and heated through and simmering. Combine 2 Tbsp. water, 2 Tbsp. cornstarch and the soy sauce product in a small bowl. Add to the vegetable mixture and stir until thickened. Add mushrooms and water chestnuts if you're using and heat to serving temperature. Serve hot over Chow Mein Noodles for Chow Mein. Or Serve over rice for Chop Suey.
