CHOCOLATE DESSERT WRAPS
I came up with this chocolate and peanut butter treat when I needed a unique, fast dessert for a special dinner. The filled tortillas take just minutes on the grill and get a chewy consistency from marshmallows. -Laurie Gwaltney, Indianapolis, Indiana

7 FRUIT WRAPS TO MAKE FOR BREAKFAST - TREEHUGGER

- Fig, ricotta, almonds, maple syrup. Few of us eat enough figs, a fruit that should definitely get more love! They are wildly health as they are a fabulous source of fiber, and are high in protein, vitamins and minerals.
- Apples, almond butter, raisins, cinnamon. I love how the raisins add their chewy texture to the snap of apples; you could use any dried fruit here.
- Berries, Greek yogurt, granola. Adding a handful of granola gives this combination a familiar crunch.
- Banana, peanut butter, honey. A tried-and-true kid favorite. You can just use the banana whole here. And if you use Nutella instead of honey, we won’t tell.
- Mango, cream cheese, avocado, lime. Even though avocado is most often reserved for savory dishes, it is a fruit after all, and plays wonderfully well with other fruits.
- Pear, quark, dates. Quark is a healthy fresh cheese that could be described as a kind-of mix of Greek yogurt and cream cheese. It is becoming more available commercially and is a wonderfully nutritious dairy product to have around.
- The kitchen sink. Here’s where you see what you’ve got in the fruit bowl or crisper, chop it and wrap it up. Lay down a bed of nut butter or Greek yogurt first, spread out the fruit, top with dried fruit, granola, or seeds.

- Gourmet Chocolate-Covered Strawberries. This list starts with a classic, the chocolate-covered strawberry. I mean, does anything say love more than a chocolate-covered strawberry?
- Chocolate-Covered Oranges. I think chocolate and citrus are an underrated flavor combination. There’s a fantastic balance of bitter, sweet, and slightly tart.
- Chocolate-Covered Bananas. These chocolate-covered bananas are quick, healthy, and super duper yummy! This is a fun activity to do with the kids in your life.
- Chocolate-Covered Blueberries. These chocolate blueberry clusters taste fantastic and are actually pretty great for you. In fact, they’re practically a superfood!
- Chocolate-Covered Blackberries. If you’re feeling a bit fancy, try making these chocolate-covered blackberries. They’re just as healthy, delicious, and clustered as the blueberry bites above.
- Chocolate-Covered Raspberries. In the shadow of chocolate-covered strawberries, chocolate-covered raspberries can be forgotten. But that’s a travesty.
- Chocolate-Covered Apple Slices. If you’re a fan of candy apples but want to save your teeth, try these! Chocolate-covered apple slices are where it’s at.
- Chocolate-Covered Mango. Don’t worry, this isn’t a super slippery mess of a treat. And though I think that mess would be utterly delicious, this recipe uses dried mangoes.
- Chocolate-Dipped Peaches. There’s nothing quite so sweet and summery as in-season peaches. The only thing better is when they’re dipped in chocolate.
- Chocolate-Covered Pineapple. Ring-a-ding-ding! Pineapple and chocolate aren’t a combination I would have thought of on my own. But thank goodness for this recipe.
