This Chocolate Latte is a decadent and sweet way to start your morning. This is a classic latte made with Café Bustelo espresso, combined with steamed milk (or half and half) and sweetened with rich dark chocolate and Cocoa Cinnamon Sugar Spice Mixture.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 k-cup Café Bustelo espresso
2 ounces hot water, use the smallest or medium volume size on your Keuring coffee maker
6 ounces half and half or whole milk (6-8 ounces), amount to taste, you will need a milk steamer or you can heat the milk in a small saucepan on your stove top, if you don't have one.
1/2 tsp Cocoa Cinnamon Sugar Spice Mixture, amount to taste
1 drizzle chocolate ganache or your favorite chocolate syrup (about 1-2 tablespoons), amount to taste, search "Chocolate Ganache Recipe" in the search bar
1 square dark chocolate (about 13 grams), amount to taste, to melt into the latte

Steps:

  • Use the smallest K-Cup setting to make a cup of espresso in your Keurig coffee machine.
  • After you made the cup of espresso, using a milk steamer, steam milk (or half and half) and pour the steamed milk/half and half over the espresso and then the foam.
  • Optional: Sprinkle Cocoa Cinnamon Sugar Spice Mixture over the top of the foam.
  • Add the chocolate ganache or your favorite chocolate syrup, drizzled over the top of the latte.
  • Serve with a square of your favorite chocolate! Enjoy!

1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup hot brewed Easy Espresso

Steps:

  • Place milk in a 1-cup microwave-safe measuring cup. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1 minute or until milk is hot and small bubbles form around edge of cup., Place a metal whisk in cup; whisk vigorously by holding whisk handle loosely between palms and quickly rubbing hands back and forth. Remove foam to a small measuring cup as it forms. Continue whisking until foam measures 1/8 to 1/4 cup; set aside., Pour Easy Espresso into a cup; pour in remaining hot milk. Spoon foam over top and serve immediately.

1 tablespoon heavy cream
⅛ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon white sugar
½ cup brewed espresso
¼ cup white chocolate chips, chopped

Steps:

  • Combine the milk and cream in a saucepan, and whisk over high heat until hot and frothy. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla and sugar. Whisk together hot espresso and white chocolate chips in a mug until smooth. If you are making two, pour half into another mug. Top with the frothy hot milk and stir to blend in the flavoring.

6 tablespoons butter, softened
1/3 cup shortening
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
2 tablespoons hot caramel ice cream topping
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons dark roast instant coffee granules
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups (9 ounces) dark chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg, ice cream topping and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, coffee granules, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Fold in chocolate chips., Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool on pans 2 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Freeze option: Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets; freeze until firm. Transfer to airtight container; return to freezer.
