Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips., Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Flatten slightly. Bake 10-12 minutes or until light brown. Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.

• Let cookie dough stand at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften.
• Press into an ungreased 13 x 9 baking pan.
• Bake at 350 degrees for 14-16 minutes or until golden brown.
• Cool on wire rack.
• In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
• Fold in 1-3/4 cups whipped topping.
• Spread over crust.
• In a large bowl, whisk milk and pudding mixes for 2 minutes; let stand for 2 minutes or until soft set.
• Spread over cream cheese layer.
• Top with remaining whipped topping.
• Sprinkle with nuts and chocolate curls if desired.
• Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight until firm.

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
• Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
• Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.
