SPICY CHIPOTLE TURKEY BURGERS

- Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat, and lightly oil grate. Place the ground turkey, onion, cilantro, chipotle chile pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, and black pepper in a mixing bowl; mix well. Form into 4 patties.
- Cook the hamburgers on the preheated grill until the turkey is no longer pink in the center, about 4 minutes per side. Place the mozzarella slices on the patties 2 minutes before they are ready. Serve on the toasted buns.

- Heat grill to medium heat.
- Combine dressing and chipotle peppers.
- Mix turkey, green peppers, garlic powder and 2 Tbsp. dressing mixture just until blended; shape into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
- Grill 6 to 7 min. on each side or until done (165ºF), adding onions to the grill for the last 5 min. and grilling until charred, turning after 3 min.
- Place burgers on bottom halves of buns; top with remaining dressing mixture and onions. Cover with tops of buns.

- Make the Chipotle Mayo:.
- Add all ingredients in a food processor and puree. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Keep chilled.
- Make the burgers:.
- In saute pan over low/medium add olive oil, onions, and a pinch of salt. Cook the onions stirring occasionally for 3 minutes. Add chopped garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In large bowl combine, ground turkey, worcestershire sauce, chopped cilantro, salt and black pepper to taste and cooled onion and garlic mix.
- Mix ingredients with your hands and shape into 4 uniformed sized patties. With your finger make an indent in the center of each patty (this will prevent the burgers from puffing up in the center while cooking).
- Place burgers on cookie sheet and place in the freezer for 15 minutes. This will prevent the burgers from falling apart on the grill.
- Preheat indoor or outdoor grill to high. Grill the burgers for 5 to 6 minutes per side. Add cheese slices the last 3 minutes of cooking and cover loosely with foil.
- Serve on toasted whole grain english muffins with any or all of above toppings.

- Place turkey, garlic, chipotle, oregano, mustard, chili powder, cumin and cayenne, if using, in a bowl. Using your hands, mix until ingredients are evenly incorporated. Divide mixture into 4 balls of equal size. Form each into a patty 3/4 to 1-inch thick. Handle as little as possible.
- Prepare a grill to medium-high. Brush grill grate with oil.
- Sprinkle both sides of burgers with salt and pepper. Place on grate and grill until well seared on both sides, about 5 minutes for medium-rare or 6 minutes for medium.
- If cooking indoors, place a cast-iron skillet over high heat. Add burgers pan coated with cooking spray. Cook until well seared on both sides, 8 to 10 minutes for medium-rare or 10 to 12 minutes for medium.
- When the burgers are almost done grilling, place a slice of cheese on top of each patty. Also, place the buns, cut sides down, on the grill to toast; remove when lightly browned.
- Serve the grilled patties and toasted buns along with the remaining fixings.
APPLE AND CHIPOTLE TURKEY BURGERS
I saw this recipe on Oprah one day but i switched around a few ingredients to make it more affordable. I like to use Granny Smith apples and I don't really use measurements, so dabble with your own! These burgers taste best when grilled ( I use my Foreman) but they taste just as good when pan frying. If your in a hurry for a meal, you can skip the 2 hours in the fridge. Thats just used to insure your burgers will stay together while cooking. This is one of the BEST turkey burgers I've ever had and I hope you enjoy it just as much as me! :)

- Heat oil or pan with cooking spray. Sauté your finely chopped onion, celery, and apple with the added dash of salt and pepper. When the mixture becomes soft, take off the burner and let cool.
- Once cooled take your ground turkey and mix the chipotle hot sauce, lemon juice, parsley and sauté ed mixture.
- Make into burger patties and set in the fridge for atleast 2 hours before cooking.
- When grilling cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Let them cool down and enjoy!

- 1. Combine the onion, 2 tablespoons A1 sauce, breadcrumbs, breadcrumbs, mustard, chili powder, garlic powder, salt and turkey in a medium bowl. Divide turkey mix into 4 equal portions, shaping each into a 1 1/2 inch-thick patty.
