Steps:
- HEAT franks in gently boiling water about 2 minutes.
- GRATE the cheddar cheese or slice the Velveeta into 1/4" x 1" x 4" strips.
- WARM the stack of tortillas in microwave oven for 15-30 seconds.
- PLACE 1/8 cup of cheese lengthwise along center of each tortilla; SPRINKLE 1 teaspoon onions evenly over the cheese.
- SPOON 1 tablespoon salsa evenly over the onions; LADLE 3 tablespoons chili evenly over the salsa.
- PLACE one hot dog over the chili; LADLE 3 tablespoons chili evenly over the hot dog.
- SPOON 1 tablespoon salsa evenly over the chili; SPRINKLE 1 teaspoon onion over the salsa.
- PLACE 1/8 cup of cheese evenly over the entire mound; COMPACT each mound tightly and uniformly with hands.
- FOLD the sides of tortillas envelope-style; ROLL tortillas up tightly like a burrito.
- TO FRY: Fry up to four Chihuahuas at a time in a medium-hot skillet with a little oil or butter, turning each until evenly golden-browned and crisp (drain on paper towels and allow to cool for 3 minutes). TO BAKE: Brush each Chihuahua with oil or melted margarine or butter, or spray with non-stick cooking spray, then bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden. SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Serve as is, or top with taco sauce and/or warm nacho cheese sauce and garnish with olives; garnish plate with sliced avocado. These go very well with Fritos brand corn chips or tortilla chips. SNAP your fingers and shout,"OLE!".

- Chihuahuas Love Burrowing in Blankets. This was the top answer. Chihuahuas, more than any other breed love their blankies and love to burrow in them until you often can’t even tell they are there.
- Chihuahuas Have Rituals With Their Food. I was surprised at the amount of pet parents that responded with this answer. I know one of my chihuahuas does this (as does my yorkie too) but I didn’t realize it’s such a common thing.
- Personality Plus. For such tiny little dogs, chihuahuas have strong personalities. Your home will never be dull with a chihuahua around. I love seeing how different each of my dog’s personality is and how much fun they are to have around.
- Chihuahuas Have an Attitude. Well that’s probably an understatement. Chis have no idea that they are the smallest dog breed and think they can take on anyone or anything.
- You Will Never Need a Doorbell. Chihuahuas actually make pretty good watch dogs. They may not scare of an intruder but they will definitely let you know about it.
- Chihuahuas Love to Bark. This kind of goes along with not needing a doorbell. Chihuahuas do love to bark. A lot. It can be annoying and doesn’t help their bad reputation.
- Chihuahuas are the Ultimate Lap Dog. Chihuahuas love nothing better than to snuggle in the lap of their favorite human. They are great companions.
- Chihuahuas are Loyal and Devoted. Chis decide who their human will be and though they may love everyone in a household, there is usually one special person who belongs solely to that chihuahua.
- Shivering and Shaking. This seems to be universal among chihuahuas. I haven’t met one yet that doesn’t do it to some degree. And there are different reason for it.
- Chis Tend to Paw at Their Pet Parents. Lucy does this to me a lot but I didn’t realize this was so prevalent among chihuahuas. A lot of chi parents wrote that their chihuahua will slap at them with their paw when they want attention, to be picked up, to be petted or fed, or whatever.
