1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup egg substitute (Egg Beaters)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup walnuts, chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, vanilla and egg substitute, beating until well blended.
  • In a separate bowl sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.
  • Add the dry mixture to the brown sugar mixture and stir just until incorporated and moist; don't over mix.
  • Fold in walnuts; then spread into a greased 9" square pan.
  • Bake in the preheated 350°F oven for 19 min; then cool in pan.
  • Cut in squares to serve.
  • Variation: swap out the walnuts for pecans instead.
  • TIP: you may wish to chop the walnuts a little more finely if you have very young children, if choking may be an issue for them or refrain from giving them access to this treat entirely.

2 eggs
1-1/2 cups packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt

LEMON GLAZE:
1-1/2 cups confectioners' sugar
2 to 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. , Press onto the bottom of a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned., For filling, in a small bowl, combine the eggs, brown sugar, flour, vanilla, salt and baking powder. Stir in walnuts. ½ cup white sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 cup packed brown sugar
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup flaked coconut
1 (4 ounce) jar maraschino cherries
1 teaspoon butter
1 cup confectioners' sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Mix together flour, white sugar and butter or margarine. Mix until crumbly. Press into a 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Beat eggs, sugar, salt, baking powder, and vanilla. Drain and chop cherries, reserving liquid. Stir chopped cherries, nuts, and coconut into egg mixture. Pour on top of crust.

1 pkg. (4-serving size) JELL-O Butterscotch Flavor Instant Pudding
1 cup flour
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
3 oz. BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Melt 1/3 cup butter; mix with graham crumbs and 1/4 cup sugar until blended. Press onto bottom of 9-inch square pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 8 min. Remove from oven; set aside. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F.
