1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1-1/4 cups Rice Krispies
1 cup chopped nuts
Optional: Raisins or semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup each)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in egg, honey and vanilla. Whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in oats, Rice Krispies, nuts and, if desired, raisins or chocolate chips. , Press into a greased 13x9-in. pan. Bake until light brown, 25-30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
2 tablespoons honey
2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup raisins

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until crumbly, about 2 minutes. Add egg; beat well. Stir in flax and honey. In a small bowl, combine the oats, flour, cinnamon and baking soda; stir into creamed mixture just until blended. Gently stir in raisins., Press into an 11x7-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray. Bake at 350° for 14-18 minutes or until set and edges are lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup golden raisins
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup toasted wheat germ
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, room temperature
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Line a 13x9-in. baking pan with foil, letting ends extend up sides; grease foil. In a large bowl, combine the first 7 ingredients. In a small bowl, combine egg, oil, maple syrup and vanilla; pour over oat mixture and mix well. (Batter will be sticky.), Press into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes or until set and edges are lightly browned. Cool in pan on a wire rack. Lifting with foil, remove from pan; cut into bars.

1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
2/3 cup chopped walnuts (or other nuts)
1/3 cup flax seeds
4 tablespoons coconut oil
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups crispy rice cereal
1/2 cup golden raisins
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray a 9x9 inch baking dish with nonstick spray or line with parchment paper.
  • Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray, and spread oats, nuts, and flax seeds out in an even layer (they can be mixed). Bake for 5-6 minutes, tossing/stirring twice, until the oats to just start to brown.
  • In a small sauce pan, heat honey, coconut oil, and brown sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir for 3-4 minutes, or until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove pan from heat, stir in vanilla extract, and set aside to cool slightly.
  • In a large mixing bowl, gently stir together crispy rice cereal, raisins, cinnamon, salt and toasted oat mixture. Pour in the honey mixture and stir until everything is well coated.
  • Press everything into prepared 9x9 inch baking dish. Use a piece of parchment paper or waxed paper to press down on granola to pack it down evenly into baking dish.
  • Place baking dish in refrigerator to chill for at least an hour before removing to cut into bars. To cut into bars, cut 9x9 square in half down the middle, and then cut nine 1-inch bars on each side.
  • Wrap individual bars in plastic wrap or store in snack baggies to eat on the go.

2 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Gold Medal™ whole wheat flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup wheat germ
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray bottom and sides of 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • In large bowl, stir together oats, raisins, all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, brown sugar, wheat germ, cinnamon and salt. In small bowl, beat egg, applesauce, honey and vanilla with whisk until well combined.
  • Pour applesauce mixture into oat mixture; stir until well blended. Pour mixture into baking dish.
  • Bake 20 minutes for soft granola bars; bake 30 minutes for firmer granola bars. Cool in dish 5 minutes. For bars, cut into 5 rows by 4 rows. Cool completely in dish, about 30 minutes.

100g butter, plus extra for greasing
200g porridge oats
100g sunflower seeds
50g sesame seeds
50g chopped walnuts
3 tbsp honey
100g light muscovado sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
100g dried cranberries, cherries or blueberries, or a mix

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 160C/fan 140C/gas 3. Butter and line the base of a 18 x 25cm tin. Mix the oats, seeds and nuts in a roasting tin, then put in the oven for 5-10 mins to toast.
  • Meanwhile, warm the butter, honey and sugar in a pan, stirring until butter is melted. Add the oat mix, cinnamon and dried fruit, then mix until all the oats are well coated. Tip into the tin, press down lightly, then bake for 30 mins. Cool in tin, then cut into 12 bars.
