1/2 lb. extra lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. chili powder
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 cup water
1 cup penne pasta, uncooked
1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
2 oz. 2% Milk VELVEETA, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
2 Tbsp. chopped cilantro

Steps:

  • Cook meat with onions, cumin and chili powder in large skillet on medium-high heat 5 min. or until meat is no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
  • Add tomatoes, water, pasta and peppers; stir. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; cover. Simmer 18 to 20 min. or until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  • Stir in VELVEETA; cook 2 min. or until melted, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with cilantro.

This cheesy ground beef pasta skillet is one of those one-pot wonders that has excellent flavor. It has a deep savory taste that's sure to please the whole family.

2 cups ziti pasta (cooked see NOTES)
1 tbs extra-virgin olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp pepper
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp crushed red chili flakes (optional)
1 tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 tbs tomato paste
1 onion (chopped)
1/2 cup chopped parsley (plus more for garnish)
salt to taste
2 cups shredded mozzarella

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to al dente package directions less 1 minute. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water. Drain pasta without rinsing.
  • Meanwhile in a large skillet over high heat add 1 tablespoon olive oil and brown beef while breaking up with a wooden spoon, about 2 minutes. Reduce to medium heat. Season with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Stir in garlic, onions, chili flakes, Worcestershire sauce, tomato paste, parsley, and 1/2 cup pasta (or plain) water. Simmer until meat is tender, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Toss in pasta and 1 cup mozzarella. Top with remaining cheese and cover with lid. Garish with additional parsley.

1 lb lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
1 cup water
3 cups rotini pasta
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon granulated sugar
1 pinch ground black pepper
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • In a large nonstick skillet, cook the beef over high heat, stirring, for 3 to 5 minutes or until no longer pink.
  • Pour off all but 1 tablespoons of fat.
  • Add the onion, garlic, green pepper, basil and thyme and cook, stirring, for 2 minutes.
  • Stir in the tomatoes and water and bring to a boil.
  • Add the pasta and reduce the heat to simmer.
  • Cover and cook, stirring frequently, for 20 minutes or until the pasta is tender.
  • Stir in the salt, pepper and sugar.
  • Remove from the heat and sprinkle with the mozzarella.
  • Cover and let stand until the cheese has melted.

1-1/2 cups ziti pasta, uncooked
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 large carrot, chopped
1 large zucchini, chopped
1 red pepper, chopped
6 oz. VELVEETA, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup CLASSICO Traditional Pizza Sauce
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Steps:

  • Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
  • Meanwhile, brown meat with vegetables in large skillet; drain.
  • Microwave VELVEETA and milk in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min.; stir. Continue microwaving and stirring in 30-sec. increments until VELVEETA is completely melted and sauce is well blended.
  • Add VELVEETA sauce to meat mixture along with the pizza sauce; mix well.
  • Drain pasta. Add to ingredients in skillet; mix lightly. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
