12 burrito sized flour tortillas
3 cups Refried Beans
1 pound Taco Bell Ground Beef
1 1/2 cups Nacho Cheese Sauce
1 cup cheddar cheese (, finely shredded)
1 cup light sour cream

Steps:

  • Wrap tortillas in damp paper towels and microwave for 20 seconds on 50% power.
  • Add the nacho cheese sauce to half the tortillas and spread evenly leaving a 1 inch border.
  • Top with remaining tortillas and gently press down.
  • Top the second tortilla with refried beans, Taco Bell ground beef, sour cream and cheddar cheese.
  • Carefully fold in the top and bottom and wrap tightly before serving (some cheese may escape so be careful while wrapping)

20 large flour tortillas
3 pounds ground beef
3 packets taco seasoning
2 cans vegetarian refried beans (14-ounce each)
2 packages Borden® mild cheddar shredded cheese (8-ounce each)

Steps:

  • Place the ground beef in a large skillet. Cook, chopping it finely while doing so, over medium-high heat, until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Drain off any grease.
  • Add taco seasoning and three cups of water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring fairly often, until thickened. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
  • Assemble each burrito by spreading about two spoonfuls of refried beans in the center of each burrito and topping that with about two spoonfuls of seasoned beef and a generous handful of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Fold the burrito up by folding each side into the center, according to the directions and photos in this post. Place the burritos into zipper-seal freezer bags, not touching or separated by waxed paper, and freeze.
  • To reheat, place a burrito, uncovered, on a microwave-safe plate and microwave for two minutes or until heated through.

6 burrito size flour tortillas ((we prefer raw tortillas))
1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese (, more or less to taste)
1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
4-6 garlic cloves, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt (plus more to taste)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1 16 oz. can refried beans
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup salsa ((medium for more of a kick))
hot sauce (to taste)
sour cream
lettuce
Tomatoes
Guacamole
Rice

Steps:

  • Add onions and beef to a large skillet and cooked over medium heat until onions are softened and meat is cooked through. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Drain off any excess fat (if there is any).
  • Stir in all of the spices/seasonings, followed by refried beans until well incorporated, followed by sour cream and salsa. Heat through.
  • If using raw tortillas, cook according to package directions. If using cooked tortillas, stack them together on a plate, cover with a damp paper towel and microwave for 30 seconds or until warmed through.
  • Line the middle of each tortilla with desired amount of cheese. Top with Bean and Beef filling and any additional desired filling ingredients.* Fold in the edges of each tortilla and roll up "burrito style." Serve with additional sour cream, guacamole, etc. (optional).
  • Optional to "crisp" burritos: Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add burritos, 3 at a time, seam side down, and cook until golden, about 2-3 minutes per side.

1 to 1 1/2 lb hamburger meat
1 -16oz can(s) refried beans
1 pkg burrito seasoning mix ( can substitute taco seasoning mix mix )
1-10oz can(s) diced tomatoes and green chilies
1-8oz can(s) tomatoe sauce (optional)
1/4 c water
salt to taste
black pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
onion powder to taste
1-8oz pkg shredded cheddar cheese
2 Tbsp sour cream (optional)
1 medium onion chopped (optional)
8- 10 flour tortillas ( large )

Steps:

  • 1. Cook hamburger meat with salt , pepper , garlic powder and onion powder till well done in a deep frying pan or large pot if you have only one fry pan because you will need your pan for later .Drain off grease , then place meat into a medium size serving bowl lined with 4 paper towels . Take 2 more paper towels and press the meat so that all of the grease is absorbed . Return to pan after you have wiped the grease from it too.
  • 2. Add the next 4 ingredients, stirring till completely mixed together . Add water mixing well . Turn heat up to medium high till it starts bubbling then reduce heat and let simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes or long enough for most of the liquids to evaporate, stirring constantly all the while so as not to scorch . Remove from heat
  • 3. In another deep frying pan, pour your favorite cooking oil in ( about the amount you would normally use to fry chicken ) heat to MED high . Meanwhile open the tortilla package , leaving the tortillas inside of it . Place the whole package inside of a microwave and heat for about 30 seconds to soften them up .
  • 4. Take a tortilla and spread about 2 tbsp of sour cream in the middle . Add about 1/2 cup meat, bean mixture spreading it to but not all the way to the edges leaving plenty of room to fold it over , add 1/4 cup onions then 1/4 cup of cheese sprinkling each evenly over mixture . Omit the sour cream and onions if you don't like them and substitute onions for more cheese .
  • 5. Using both hands , keep rolling one side of tortilla over filling while bringing the ( ends ) sides of tortilla inward tucking them inside snugly to hold in the filling .
  • 6. Making sure the oil is plenty hot first , add burrito folded side down. Using a spatula, immediately press it down lightly so it won't come unfolded as it starts to cook . They cook fast so turn over after a couple minutes or less depending on how hot the oil is, to make sure they don't burn . They should be a nice golden color when done . Place on a paper towel lined platter or plate to soak up oil .
  • 7. Top with your choice of picante sauce , sour cream , guacamole, chopped purple onions, chopped tomatoes ,sliced black olives, a green salad or top with all of them at the same time. ENJOY ! :>D

1 cup salsa
1 cup cooked long grain rice

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a large bowl, combine beans, salsa, rice and 1 cup cheese. Spoon about 1/3 cup off-center on each tortilla. 1 3.5 ounce boil in bag brown rice
1 cup salsa
1/3 cup cilantro (chopped)
1 avocado (diced)
1 Tablespoon lime juice
6 soft taco flour tortillas
2 cups Mexican blend cheese (shredded)
1 15.5 ounce can black beans (drained and rinsed)

Steps:

  • Cook the boil in bag brown rice according to package directions, about 10 minutes.
  • Drain and place in a medium sized bowl, add the salsa and cilantro and mix well, set aside.
  • Put the diced avocado in a bowl and add the fresh lime juice and toss well. Set aside.
  • Place the six tortillas on a work surface. Sprinkle 1/3 cup of shredded cheese in the center of each tortilla in a 3 inch strip. Top the cheese with 1/4 cup of black beans.
  • Then place a heaping 1/3 cup of the rice mixture over the beans.
  • Divide the avocado over the six tortillas.
  • Fold up opposite sides and then the bottom and roll up to enclose the filling.
  • Coat the top and bottom of the burritos with non-stick cooking spray. Place 3 burritos in the skillet seam side down. Cook for about 1 minute or until lightly browned and crisp. Turn the burritos and cook another minute until golden brown. Repeat with 3 remaining burritos.

32 ounces vegetarian refried beans (I highly recommend using Diana Neal's recipe for refried beans refer to Recipezar Refried Beans)
4 ounces canned green chilies, chopped
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C).
  • Prepare filling by mixing refried beans, chilies, cumin and garlic together in a bowl.
  • Spoon approximately 4 ounces bean filling into the center of each tortilla and top with about one tablespoon of cheese.
  • Fold in ends and then sides.
  • Place burritos seam side down on baking sheets that have been sprayed with vegetable oil spray.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 teaspoon hot paprika
3/4 cup sour cream
1 tablespoon cilantro, finely chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
500 g minced beef (1lb)
1 onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes (440gm)
1 1/4 ounces taco seasoning mix (35gm)
1/2 cup water
1 (10 ounce) can kidney beans, drained (300gm)
1 large avocado
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 teaspoons lemon juice or 2 teaspoons lime juice
3 drops Tabasco sauce
1 small tomatoes, seeded and chopped

Steps:

  • Make the beef & bean filling: heat oil in pan, cook beef, stirring, til browned.
  • Add onion and garlic, cook, stirring, til onion is soft. Stir in undrained can of tomatoes and remaining ingredients; simmer uncovered 15 minutes or til mixture is thickened.
  • Divide warm beef & bean filling among the tortillas, roll; secure with toothpicks. Placed filled tortillas on greased oven tray, sprinkle with cheese and bake in moderate oven about 10 minutes or til cheese melts.
  • Meanwhile, make the guacamole: mash avocado with fork, add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • To serve: Remove toothpicks from tortillas, served topped with guacamole, sour cream and cilantro.
