Crispy French Fries topped with Monterey Jack and cheddar cheese with bacon bits and green onions are a perfect easy appetizer or side dish for a party or regular family meal.We love making these loaded fries in the air fryer or regular oven. In under 20 minutes, this delicious recipe is ready to enjoy!

14 ounces Shoestring French Fries (frozen)
1/2 cup Monterey Jack cheese (freshly shredded)
1/3 cup cheddar cheese (freshly shredded)
2 green onions (sliced)
1/4 cup bacon bits
1/3 cup sour cream

Steps:

  • Set air fryer toaster oven to air fry and 400°F. Place a single layer of French fries in air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 12 - 14 minutes until fries reach desired crispiness. Shake the basket 2 or 3 times during frying.
  • Pile fries in center of basket and cover with freshly shredded cheese and bacon bits. Return to air fryer for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted.
  • Sprinkle green onions on top and serve with sour cream for dipping.

Great for a side dish or appetizer, these Loaded Bacon and Cheese Fries are full of bacon, sour cream, and cheesy goodness! Perfect for game day!

1 bag (32 oz) frozen French fries
cheese sauce (recipe below)
1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 green onions, chopped
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1-1/2 cups (6 ounces) Cheddar cheese, shredded
Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Bake the french fries according to package directions.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the cheese sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour. Cook and continue to whisk for a minute. Slowly add the milk. Continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens slightly - about 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in cheese until completely melted and thoroughly combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  • After the fries come out of the oven, immediately drizzle with cheese sauce. Sprinkle with bacon. Drizzle with sour cream. Sprinkle with green onions.
  • Serve immediately!

Crisp skin-on fries with a slight spice covered in delicious melted cheese and bacon. These Cheese & Bacon Loaded Fries are a real indulgent treat to be enjoyed responsibly!

500 g potatoes
1 tbsp sunflower oil
1 tsp sea salt
½ tsp ancho chili powder
½ tsp garlic powder
4 rashers of streaky bacon
50 g cheddar cheese (grated)

Steps:

  • After cleaning the potatoes, cut them into slices and then each slice into strips to form fries
  • Add the fries to a bowl and toss with the oil, chilli powder, garlic powder and salt so they are evenly coated
  • Add the fries to your air fryer and cook for 20 mins at 200°C , turning half way.
  • When the fries are cooked, add to an oven proof dish while you cook the bacon
  • Add the bacon to your air fryer and cook for 6-7 minutes at 200°C, turning half way.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (fan assisted, 200°C non fan)
  • Mix half of the cheese and most of the bacon with the fries. Finish with the rest of the cheese and bacon
  • Cook in the oven for 5 mins or until the cheese has melted. Eat whilst hot.
