- In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a large serving bowl. , Add the cheese, beans, tomatoes, onion, romaine and corn chips. Drizzle with dressing; gently toss to coat.

Steps:
- Warm a large skillet over medium heat. Add the canola oil and swirl to coat the pan. Crumble the ground beef into the skillet, cooking and stirring until no longer pink.
- Drain off any grease, then add the taco seasoning packet and water and continue cooking per packet instructions. Keep warm until ready to serve.
- Meanwhile, toss together the lettuce, tomatoes, onions, beans, and cheese.
- Add the bag of Fritos, partly crushed, and toss with 1 cup Catalina dressing (add more dressing, if desired). Serve immediately.

- Over medium heat, brown the meat. Drain the grease.
- Add the Catalina dressing. Sprinkle the taco seasoning and garlic powder over the mixture. Stir until well mixed.
- Turn the heat down to low heat. Let the meat mixture simmer while you prepare the remaining ingredients.
- Mix the beans, onion, bell pepper, and tomatoes in a large bowl. Toss with the cut lettuce.
- Put the lettuce mixture into serving bowls. Top with the meat mixture. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top.
- Serve with your favorite chips.

CATALINA 'TACO' SALAD
When is a taco salad not a taco salad? Hamburger, tortilla chips, onion, lettuce and cheese. But it's the dressing that makes this amazing! I got this recipe from my parents who got it from my aunt who got it from a friend and so on. It is an amazing change from a regular taco salad!

Steps:
- Brown the ground beef and drain off the grease and allow to room temperature.
- Make sure you drain the grease off well or it will sift to the bottom of your salad bowl.
- Chop the lettuce to bite sized pieces.
- In a large salad bowl place in the lettuce, cheese, ground beef and onion.
- Crush the tortilla chips lightly onto them and mix it up.
- Add enough catalina to cover your salad.
- I used about half of a bottle for this.
- You want a nice coating though.
- Serve.
CATALINA SALAD WITH TACO CHIPS
Steps:
- Combine the tomatoes, cheese, onion, lettuce and ground beef in a large bowl.
- Add the salad dressing and mix well.
- Just before serving, add taco chips, tossing to combine with other ingredients. Top each serving with salsa. Serve with tortilla chips.

- Add ground beef to a large pan over medium-high heat. Use the end of a wooden spoon to break up the ground beef into smaller pieces. Continue to cook until beef is browned and no longer pink. Drain the fat from the pan.
- Add the chili powder, paprika, cumin, cayenne, oregano salt, pepperand water to the pan with the beef and mix well to flavour the beef evenly. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally, until the water has evaporated and you are just left with the seasoned beef. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In a small bowl prepare the dressing by adding the oil, vinegar, Worcestershire, ketchup, soy sauce, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper to a small bowl. Whisk until smooth and well blended.
- Add the iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, and beef to a large bowl. When ready to serve pour the dressing over the salad and mix well. Add in the broken corn tortilla chips and mix. Do not add the chips until you are ready to serve or they will become soggy.
