MEMA'S HAMBURGER MACARONI CASSEROLE (GOULASH)
A family favorite! The casserole everyone grew up on! Comfort food! The secret to this dish is to layer noodles, sauce and cheese. The other is to not add water, because sauce should be thick.

Steps:
- In large dutch oven brown ground beef and drain. Sautee onion. Add jar of spaghetti sauce. Stir in garlic powder, worcestershire sauce, ketchup, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt and black pepper.
- Simmer covered on very low heat for 30 minutes.
- Boil elbow macaroni noodles in salted water until done. Drain noodles.
- In a 9 x 9 casserole dish layer noodles, sauce and cheese. Repeat, ending with cheese on top. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes until hot throughout and cheese is melted. Serve and enjoy!
CHEESY MACARONI AND HAMBURGER CASSEROLE
This is a hearty meal that tastes GREAT for less and has plenty of leftovers for a nice repeat meal. This tasty meal that I created had my family's thumbs up for many repeat meals!

- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease an 11x13-inch baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain. Transfer to a bowl, add processed cheese cubes, and let stand until cheese partially melts.
- Place ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, break meat apart with a spatula, and sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbly, about 10 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Stir Cheddar cheese soup, sour cream, Parmesan cheese, and onion together in a bowl; gently fold macaroni and processed cheese mixture into soup mixture. Stir in milk until thoroughly combined. Mix ground beef into macaroni mixture and spread into prepared baking dish. Top casserole with slices of American cheese and sprinkle cracker crumbs on top. Cover casserole with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven until casserole is bubbling, about 20 minutes; remove foil and bake until top is golden brown, about 10 more minutes.

- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato sauce; heat through., Drain macaroni; transfer to a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the egg, soup, milk, butter and parsley; pour over macaroni. Spoon beef mixture over top; sprinkle with cheese., Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

- Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. In a large saucepan, combine cheese and milk. Cook and stir over medium-low heat until cheese is melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in the beef, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and cayenne; remove from the heat., Drain macaroni and stir into beef mixture. Transfer to a greased 2-qt. baking dish.
