CRISPY CARAMEL TREATS
Kids love these triple-decker treats for the holidays-or any time at all. I always make several batches because my neighbors can't seem to get enough of them.

Steps:
- In a large saucepan, melt 1/4 cup butter and 4 cups marshmallows; stir until smooth. Stir in 4 cups cereal. Pat into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. pan; set aside. , For caramel filling, place the caramels and 10 tablespoons butter in another saucepan; cook and stir over low heat until melted. Stir in the milk until smooth. Cool for 10 minutes; pour over cereal layer. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or until firm., In a large saucepan, melt the remaining butter and marshmallows. Stir in remaining cereal. Spread over caramel layer. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm. Cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator.

This is the BEST gooey crispy rice treat ever. I make it for pot lucks, and I always take the recipe with me. A change from the marshmallow bars!

Steps:
- In the microwave, or in the top of a double boiler, melt candy bars and 1/2 cup of butter, stirring occasionally until smooth. Stir in cereal until well blended. Press into a greased 11x7 inch pan.
- Melt chocolate chips and remaining 1/4 cup butter or margarine, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat, and spread over the top of bars. Refrigerate for 1 hour, or until firm; cut into squares.

SALTED CARAMEL TREATS
These are so dressed up you will not recognize the Rice Krispy treat from the side of the box. This is a series of 5 different varieties from Redbook magazine. Try them all, they look gorgeous together.

Steps:
- In a medium saucepan, melt caramel ingredients over medium low heat until smooth; remove from heat.
- Line a 13x9 inch baking dish with non-stick aluminum foil which extends the 2 inches beyond the edges.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium low heat; stir in marshmallows, with a rubber spatula, and continue stirring until almost melted.
- Stir in vanilla, 1 teaspoon of the sea salt, and 1 cup of the melted caramel stirring until smooth; remove from heat.
- Stir in cereal and press mixture into prepared baking dish.
- Spread the remaining caramel over top and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Let cool completely, peel off foil, and cut into 24 squares.
