Steps:
- Put first 6 ingredients in to blender, let soak for 20 mins or until dates soften.
- Blend until smooth. Add more water as needed by the tablespoons.
- add cacao nib, cacao powder, green drink powder supplement and hemp hearts, blend until smooth.
- Spread mixture evenly over parafex sheets, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Dry according to dehydrator directions. I like to turn my bars over as soon as I can peel it off parafex easily.
- Keep refridgerated.

- Add dates to a food processor and pulse/mix until small bites remain or a ball forms. Scoop out and set aside.
- Add walnuts to the food processor and pulse into a fine meal. Then add cacao powder, hemp seeds and sea salt. Pulse a few more times to combine. (Don't overmix or the walnuts will turn into butter.)
- Add the dates back in along with the almond butter and melted coconut oil (optional). Mix/pulse to combine. The result should be a moist dough-like mixture. If too wet, add a bit more cacao powder or hemp seeds.
- Refrigerate for 10 minutes. Then scoop out rounded Tablespoon amounts (I like this scoop) and carefully form into balls. The dough will be somewhat fragile, so use the warmth of your hands to gently form/roll them into balls. There should be about 20 energy bites total (amount as original recipe is written // adjust if altering batch size).

- Add everything to a food processor and mix until it forms a thick dough. It will take a little bit but it should form into one big dough ball, once it’s does, it’s ready to go.
- Press the dough (you may need to use wet hands, it can be sticky) into a parchment paper, wax paper or saran wrap-lined square baking pan. Take a few moments to press it down into the corners and work it all together. It will be a little sticky and messy.
