4 cups sugar
2 cups cider vinegar
2 cups vegetable oil
1 teaspoon celery seed
4 large heads cabbage, shredded
8 medium carrots, shredded
2 large onions, finely chopped
2 cups sour cream
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine the sugar, vinegar and oil. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat; stir in celery seed. Cool completely., In two large bowls, combine the cabbage, carrots and onions. Add the celery seed mixture, sour cream, salt, pepper and mustard; mix well. Cover and refrigerate until chilled.

6 cups shredded cabbage
4 medium carrots, shredded
4 celery ribs, chopped
1/2 cup finely chopped green pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, celery, green pepper and onion. In a jar with a tight-fitting lid, combine the vinegar, oil, sugar, salt, pepper and paprika; shake well. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate until serving.

1/2 cup chopped bell pepper (optional)
2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise or 2 tablespoons fat-free mayonnaise
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 (1 g) packets Splenda sugar substitute

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a bowl until thoroughly combined; cover and chill in refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour. Serve!

1 medium head of cabbage, shredded (about 6 cups)
2 cups fresh parsley, minced
1 celery rib, chopped
1/4 cup scallion, chopped
1/4 cup bacon bits (I use artificial bacon bits)
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon sugar (or more to your taste)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, toss the cabbage, parsley, celery, scallions and bacon bits.
  • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, lemon juice and sugar. Pour over cabbage mixture and toss to coat.
  • Cover and refrigerate for several hours. Enjoy!

3 to 4 green onions, sliced
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup vinegar
1-1/2 teaspoons celery seed

3/4 cup canola oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine cabbage and onions. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, vinegar, celery seed and salt; bring to a boil. Add oil; return to boiling and cook until sugar dissolves. Pour over cabbage; toss gently. Chill.

1/2 cup white wine vinegar, white vinegar or cider vinegar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon celery seed

  • In large glass or plastic bowl, place cabbage, carrot, bell pepper and onions. In tightly covered container, shake remaining ingredients. Pour over vegetables; stir.
