1 pound linguine, spaghetti or your favorite long pasta shape
Kosher salt
1 pound jumbo or extra-large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1 pint cherry or grape tomatoes (cut into halves or quarters)
1 tablespoon garlic grated on a Microplane or very finely chopped garlic ( about 2-3 plump cloves)
6 tablespoons butter (salted or unsalted)
1 teaspoon crushed red chili pepper (or to taste)
1/2 cup finely chopped fresh parsley (or 1/4 cup each chopped parsley and basil)
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large (5 or 6 quarts) pot of water to a boil and season with 3 tablespoons kosher salt.
  • Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente (usually about 11 minutes). Scoop 1/2 cup of the pasta water out of the pot and set aside, then drain the pasta and transfer to a bowl.
  • While the pasta is cooking, pat the shimp with a paper towel to dry them. Sprinkle lightly with salt on both sides.
  • Put a large (12-inch) skillet over medium-high heat. Pour in the oil. When it starts to shimmer, add the shrimp in one layer. Cook 2 minutes, then turn them over and continue cooking until they turn pink and opaque, about 1 more minute.
  • Add the tomatoes, garlic, butter and chili to the pan and stir. When the butter is melted, add 2 or 3 tablespoons of the reserved pasta water and swirl around until saucy (add more if needed, a tablespoon at a time).
  • Pour the shrimp and sauce over the pasta. Top with the parsley and Parmesan cheese to taste. Toss gently and serve. Enjoy!

1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
2 cups baby arugula
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves

Steps:

  • In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook pasta according to package instructions; drain well. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, to taste; set aside. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic, oregano and red pepper flakes, and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Add shrimp and cook, stirring occasionally, until pink, about 2-3 minutes; set aside. Melt remaining 6 tablespoons butter in the skillet. Stir in pasta, arugula and Parmesan until arugula begins to wilt, about 2 minutes. Stir in shrimp. Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.

  • Add the butter, olive oil and garlic to a 6- or 8-quart Instant Pot® multi-cooker and set to high saute (see Cook's Note).   • For the shrimp: Meanwhile, pulse the garlic in a mini food processor until chopped. Add the butter, parsley and lemon zest and season to taste with salt and hot sauce. Process until smooth, then scrape into a small bowl. Remove 2 tablespoons of the "cowboy butter" to a small microwave-safe bowl and microwave to melt it; set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until crisp, about 3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon to paper towels to drain. Add the shrimp to the skillet and sprinkle with salt. Cook until no longer pink, about 3 minutes, then remove to a plate. Add 3 tablespoons cowboy butter to the skillet. When the butter is melted, add the onion and cook until it begins to soften, about 3 minutes. Sprinkle with the flour and stir until the onion absorbs the flour, about 1 minute. Whisk in the broth, cream and Worcestershire until smooth. Adjust the heat to a simmer over medium-low heat and cook until thickened and the onion is tender, about 5 minutes. Add the cooked shrimp and toss to heat through and coat in the sauce, 1 to 2 minutes. Season with hot sauce and salt to taste and squeeze in juice from 1 lemon wedge.

1 cup dried red lentils
1 1/4 pounds peeled and deveined shrimp (about 24)
3 cups baby spinach
2 tablespoons canned unsweetened coconut cream
1/2 cup lightly packed fresh cilantro, chopped

Steps:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a large wide pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the shallot, garlic and 1 tablespoon ginger. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the shallot softens, about 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala, a big pinch of salt and a few grinds of pepper. Cook, stirring, until the tomatoes are soft, about 2 minutes.
  • Stir the lentils into the tomato mixture until coated, then add 3 cups water. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until the lentils are tender and thick, 12 to 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, toss the shrimp with the remaining 1 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon garam masala and a pinch each of salt and pepper. Let stand 10 minutes. Heat the remaining 2 tablespoons butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook, stirring, until just cooked through, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Stir the spinach and coconut cream into the lentils until the spinach wilts; season with salt and pepper. Divide among bowls. Top with the shrimp and any juices; sprinkle with the cilantro.

10 jumbo shrimp, cleaned and butterflied

3/4 cup white wine
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 lemon, zested and juiced
Cooked pasta, for serving, optional
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
Garlic bread, for serving, optional

Steps:

  • Put the breadcrumbs in a skillet over medium heat with 2 tablespoons of the garlic and 2 tablespoons of the oil. Cook, stirring, until the crumbs are toasted and caramelized, 5 to 8 minutes. Set aside.
  • In a saute pan large enough to comfortably fit the shrimp in 1 layer, heat 1 tablespoon of the butter and the remaining 2 tablespoons oil over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. Add the shrimp to the pan and cook, without moving the shrimp, until caramelized on one side, about 3 minutes. Flip the shrimp over and cook for another 2 minutes; remove from the pan.
  • Return the pan to medium-high heat, add the white wine and remaining 2 tablespoons garlic and cook for 1 minute. Return the shrimp to the pan. Add the Worcestershire, lemon zest and juice and remaining 4 tablespoons butter. Cook, simmering, until the liquid thickens.
  • Add the pasta to the pan if using and additional salt if necessary. Transfer to serving bowls and top with the toasted breadcrumbs and parsley. Serve with garlic bread if desired.

Steps:

  • Boil water for the linguine, adding 1 tbsp of the olive oil and a pinch of salt to the water. Cook the linguine for 7-8 minutes (al dente), stirring every minute. While the pasta is cooking, heat a large skillet with remaining olive oil.
  • When th e oil is hot, add the shrimp to the skillet, sauteeing until the shrimp turns pink, about 3-4 minutes.

1 cup chicken stock
7 ounces angel hair pasta
2 tablespoons water
1 lb broccoli floret
1/2 cup white onion

Steps:

  • Put the garlic and stock in a small sauce pan and bring to boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and cover.
  • Simmer for about 20 minutes or until the garlic is soft enough to mash with a fork.
  • Transfer the contents of the pan to a food processor or blender and puree until smooth.
  • Set aside Bring large pot of water to boil.
  • Add the pasta, stirring to make sure the strands don't stick together, and cook over high heat to desired tenderness.
  • Meanwhile, put 1 Tbs of the water in a nonstick frying pan and bring to a boil over medium.
  • Add the broccoli and onion, reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for 3 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp, dill, and the remaining Tbs of water.
  • Stir, recover and cook for 4-5 minutes until shrimp is pink.
  • Remove from heat When the pasta is done, drain and return it to the pot over very low heat.
  • Add the garlic puree and mix well to coat the pasta.
  • Add the broccoli shrimp mix and the seasonings.

I must give credit to Recipe #113017 as this is an augmentation of that recipe, which is delicious as well. As you can see, there are "necessary ingredients" and "seasoning ingredients". This is because the base of the sauce are the necessary ingredients. All of the other ingredients can be changed around, left out, substituted, etc. in accordance with your liking or what you have on hand.

1/2 cup margarine
1 tablespoon flour
3 -4 tablespoons evaporated milk

2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Let both butter and margarine soften.
  • Using hand mixer, blend butter and margarine together with flour until well incorporated.(I generally do this blending in a glass bowl which I can then place on top of a pan of simmering water for the next steps).
  • Melt the butter/flour mixture in a double boiler over med. low heat(or glass bowl over simmering pan) until just melted.
  • As butter/flour mixture is melting, add it the evaporated milk, garlic powder, cayenne, salt and pepper. All of these ingredients are according to your taste - you can use real garlic and heavy cream, white pepper, whatever you prefer or have on hand. You can add up to 4 tablespoons of evaporated milk without making the sauce too thin. Lastly, add in as much paremsan cheese as you would like, my preference is about 2 tablespoons.
  • Pour over noodles or whatever and enjoy!
