HOW TO COOK GARLIC BUTTER SHRIMP
A very easy to cook seafood dish is this garlic butter dish. With its buttery and garlicky flavor with a little sweetness I'm sure you are going love it!

Steps:
- Wash and clean the shrimps then trim the antennae and rostrum teeth. You can also devein the shrimps by cutting the shell on the dorsal side of the shrimp and picking it out with a toothpick. Then marinate it with Sprite or 7-Up softdrinks.
- In a pan or wok, put the butter and heat until it melts. Saute garlic and chili flakes until garlic is slightly brown. Drain the shrimps from the soda and put in the shrimps in the pan.
- Saute until the shrimps turns orange then add the marinade. Bring to a boil and simmer until the liquid evaporates in half.
- Season with salt and pepper and stir. Garnish with spring onions or fried garlic. Serve hot with steaming cooked rice.

Steps:
- In a deep bowl, pour the Lemon or Orange Soda then add the shrimp.
- Marinate the shrimp in soda for about 15 to 30 minutes.
- Melt the butter in a frying pan and apply heat until hot enough to cook the garlic
- Add the garlic and cook until the color turns to golden brown
- Add the shrimp and then cook until the color turns orange.
- Pour the remaining lemon or orange soda marinade.
- Turn the fire to low then simmer until the liquid evaporates completely.
- Add ground black pepper, chili flakes and salt as needed.
- Sprinkle with scallions on top.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or your favorite beer.

ADOBO STYLE SHRIMP (FILIPINO)
Yes, you can pretty much "adobo" anything. Here is an adapted recipe I found somewhere online that I tweaked a bit here and there. [The original recipe contained MSG as one of the ingredients.] I don't know if this is "authentic" per se, because all cooks have their own preferences, but it does follow the basic recipe. Hope you enjoy!

Steps:
- Wash shrimp and cut off whiskers. Drain.
- Place in pan or wok, add all ingredients except sugar and cooking oil.
- Cook shrimp until not quite cooked on MED HEAT, maybe 2-4 minutes depending on your shrimp size.
- Drain shrimp (along with garlic). Set sauce aside, and add the sugar.
- Heat cooking oil and fry shrimp and garlic together on MED LOW HEAT.
- When garlic is lightly browned, return the sauce to the pan and finish cooking shrimp.
- [Be sure to not overcook the shrimp-- you can tell if they turn into little O's" instead of C's].
- [Note: If you want a spicy "adobo", add 1 tablespoon of hot sauce or 1-2 minced hot peppers of your preference.].
- Put on serving platter and garnish with chopped scallions (optional).
- Serve with steamed Jasmine rice.
