I found this recipe in a Pillsbury Appetizer Cookbook. It is a great addition to casual get-togethers. Kids and adults really enjoy the tiny bites of burger.

1 (11 ounce) can refrigerated breadstick dough
1 egg
3 tablespoons dried onion flakes
2 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375F.
  • Seperate dough into 12 breadsticks.
  • Cut each breadstick into 4 pieces; place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375F for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Immediately remove from cookie sheet; place on wire racks.
  • Cool 5 minutes or until slightly cooled.
  • Split each in half, keeping tops and bottoms together to form miniature buns.
  • Reduce oven temp to 350F.
  • Beat egg in medium bowl; add onion, milk, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.
  • Stir in bread crumbs.
  • Add ground beef; mix well.
  • Press ground beef mixture into thin layer in bottom of ungreased 13x9 inch pan.
  • Bake at 350F for 14 to 16 minutes or until thoroughly cooked.
  • Cut into 48 rectangles (8 strips crosswise and 6 strips lengthwise).
  • Fill buns with miniature burgers.
  • Place ketchup in small bowl for dipping sauce.
  • Serve immediately.

1 lb. extra-lean ground beef
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
2 KRAFT DELI DELUXE Process Bacon Cheddar Cheese Slices, quartered
8 mini sandwich buns, split

Steps:

  • HEAT grill to medium-high heat.
  • MIX first 3 ingredients just until blended; shape into 8 (3-inch) patties.
  • GRILL 3 to 5 min. on each side or until done (165 degrees F). Top with cheese; grill 1 min. or until melted. Meanwhile, grill buns, cut-sides down, until toasted.
  • FILL buns with burgers.
  • How to Portion Meat: Use a 1/4-cup (2-oz.) ice cream scoop to portion meat for each patty.
  • KRAFT DELI DELUXE Process Bacon Cheddar is a pasteurized process cheddar cheese with bacon.

1/2 cup KRAFT Sweet Honey Barbecue Sauce
1/4 cup grape jelly
24 small frozen fully cooked meatballs (about 1 lb.)
24 drained canned pineapple chunks in juice (about 1/2 of 20-oz. can)
1 large red pepper, cut into 24 pieces

Steps:

  • Cook barbecue sauce and jelly in large skillet on medium heat 2 min. or until jelly is melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently.
  • Add meatballs; cook 10 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.
  • Thread 1 meatball onto each of 24 wooden skewers or toothpicks alternately with 1 each pineapple chunk and red pepper piece.
