BROWN SUGAR AND CINNAMON COATED GRILLED PINEAPPLE

Grilling Pineapple changes the flavor completely, so even if you don't like eating fresh pineapple, you may like it grilled. grilled pineapple can be eaten as a side dish or served as dessert.

1/2 of a pineapple, cut into spears
1/ c brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a large ziplock bag. Add the pineapple spears, close the bag tightly, and shake it so that the cinnamon and brown sugar coats the spears. Place the pineapple in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • 2. Pre-heat your grill to medium heat, around 350-400 degrees.
  • 3. Place the pineapple spears on the grill and turn them every few minutes.
  • 4. Grill the pineapple until it is cooked to your liking.
  • 5. Enjoy!:)

1 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 pineapple - peeled, cored, and cut into 6 wedges

Steps:

  • Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  • Whisk brown sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. Pour sugar mixture into a large resealable plastic bag. Place pineapple wedges in bag and shake to coat each wedge.
  • Grill pineapple wedges on the preheated grill until heated through, 3 to 5 minutes per side.

  • Lay the pineapple spears on a pan. Sprinkle lightly with cinnamon. Whisk together the butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. (If it seems thick, I always put it in the microwave for a few seconds so that it can easily pour on top of the pineapple.) Spread on top of the pineapple using a cooking brush.
  • Grill for about 7-10 minutes or until it is starting to turn golden brown. I always like to brush the excess sauce from the pan back on top of the pineapple before serving.
