2 lbs tilapia fillets (8)
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/8 cup softened margarine or 1/8 cup butter
3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon celery salt

Steps:

  • Preheat Broiler.
  • Place filets on foil lined broiler pan in a single layer.
  • Mix all existing ingredients together in bowl with whisk until well blended.
  • Broil filets a few inches from broiler for 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip filets and broil another 2-3 minutes.
  • Flip filets again and cover each with Parmesan mixture, and broil until the mixture starts to brown. Do not overcook fish!

1/2 cup parmigiano-reggiano cheese
1/4 cup butter, softened
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon celery salt
2 lbs tilapia fillets

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven's broiler.
  • Grease a broiling pan or line pan with aluminum foil.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the Parmesan cheese, butter, mayonnaise and lemon juice.
  • Season with dried basil, pepper, onion powder and celery salt.
  • Mix well and set aside.
  • Arrange fillets in a single layer on the prepared pan.
  • Broil a few inches from the heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Flip the fillets over and broil for a couple more minutes.
  • Remove the fillets from the oven and cover them with the Parmesan cheese mixture on the top side.
  • Broil for 2 more minutes or until the topping is browned and fish flakes easily with a fork.
  • Be careful not to over cook the fish.

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
3 tablespoons light mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion salt
1/8 teaspoon celery seed

Steps:

  • Set oven to broil.
  • Spray Pam on large baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl combine the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
  • Arrange fillets in a single layer on baking sheet.
  • Broil for 2-3 minutes.
  • Turn the fish over and broil 2-3 minutes more.
  • Remove from oven and top with Parmesan mixture, only the tops.
  • Return to oven and broil until golden brown on top and fish flakes easily. This takes about 3 minutes.

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup butter, softened
4 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon celery salt
salt (I use seasoned salt)
2 lbs tilapia fillets

Steps:

  • Set oven to broiler heat.
  • Grease a broiler pan, then line with foil and grease the foil slightly.
  • In a small bowl mix together Parmesan cheese, butter, mayo, lemon juice and garlic.
  • Add in all the remaining seasonings and salt if using; mix well and set aside.
  • Arrange the fillets in a single layer on the prepared pan (you sprinkle salt on fish but it is not necessary).
  • Broil a few inches from the heat for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Turn the fish over and broil a couple minutes more.
  • Remove from oven and cover them with the Parmesan mixture on the top side only.
  • Return to oven and broil for about 2 minutes more or until the topping is browned and the fish flakes easily (do not overcook the fish!).
