My Homemade Boursin Cheese recipe is easy to do, and the flavor is spot on. This copy cat garlic and herb creamy cheese will save you SO MUCH money! It's perfect for any occasion.

Steps:
- You can do this in a food processor or by hand. For the processor, process the garlic first until it is finely minced, then add the cheese and herbs and process until creamy.
- By hand, mince the garlic as finely as possible, and then mix everything together in a large bowl.
- Put the cheese into an airtight jar or container and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
- Plan to use your homemade Boursin cheese within two weeks.

MAKE YOUR OWN BOURSIN CHEESE - PAULA DEEN
This recipe comes from Paula Deen. It tastes exactly like the boursin cheese sold at stores, for a fraction of the cost! I like to serve this spread with buttery crackers. You could also use it to make sandwiches, etc... The prep time does not include softening of cream cheese, butter or the refrigeration time.

Steps:
- Put the cream cheese and butter into the bowl of a food processor. (You could use a mixer or blender if you don't have a food processor.).
- Add the seasonings and process until completely blended and smooth.
- Line a medium-sized serving bowl with plastic wrap and fill it with the cheese mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least a few hours before serving.
- You can keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
- Enjoy!

HOMEMADE BOURSIN CHEESE RECIPE

Or switch it up to make combos like chives and basil or shallots and mint. Or take the short short cut: Use Simon & Garfunkel rub and blend it in with a little salt.

- Prep. Let the cheese sit at room temp for about an hour to make it easy to mix. Low fat or spreadable cream cheese are easy to work in 15 minutes or less. Or microwave it for 10 seconds to soften it.
- Blend in the seasonings with a fork. Let it age in the fridge for 4 hours or more if possible. This allows the oil-soluble flavors in the herbs to be extracted and marry with the cheese.
- Serve. It is easier to spread on breads and crackers at room temperature. If there is any left over, plop it onto some plastic wrap and roll it into a ball or cylinder with the plastic tight against it and refrigerate. It'll last at least a week.
