CHEESY BACON HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Split the hot dogs in half lengthwise, making a pocket but not cutting all the way through. Stuff each one with a string cheese. Starting at one end, wrap a slice of bacon around each stuffed hotdog, then place each on a square of foil and wrap up.
• Throw the wrapped hotdogs on a hot campfire grill and cook, turning occasionally, until the hot dogs heat through, the cheese melts and the bacon slices crisp, 10 to 15 minutes. Set aside to cool for 5 minutes, then unwrap.

SPICY BACON HOT DOG

Steps:

• Pan-Fried Hot Dog
• Cook in a hot cast-iron skillet with a little oil, butter or bacon fat, about 5 minutes.
• Bacon and Onions
• Cook 4 chopped bacon slices in a skillet over medium-high heat until the fat has rendered, about 5 minutes. Add 1/2 thinly sliced onion; cook, stirring, until translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in 1 tablespoon each soy sauce and lime juice and 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
• Mayonnaise
• Spicy Chips
• Spread 1 cup lightly crushed tortilla chips on a baking sheet and spray with cooking spray. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon chili-lime powder (such as Tajen brand) and toss to coat. Bake at 350 degrees F until lightly toasted, 4 to 5 minutes. Let cool.
• Ketchup
• Yellow Mustard

BACON-WRAPPED HOT DOGS

Steps:

• In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until partially cooked but not crisp. Remove to paper towels to drain; cool slightly. Wrap 1-1/2 strips of bacon around each hot dog, securing with toothpicks as needed (do not wrap tightly, or bacon may tear during grilling)., Grill, covered, over medium heat or broil 4 in. from heat 6-8 minutes or until bacon is crisp and hot dogs are heated through, turning frequently. Discard toothpicks. Serve hot dogs in buns with onion and sauerkraut; top with condiments of your choice.

• Special equipment: a hot campfire with a grill grate or an oven preheated to 450ºF.

BODACIOUS BACON HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Heat grill to medium heat.
• Combine first 6 ingredients. Mix cream cheese, cheddar and mustard until blended.
• Grill franks as directed on package, adding buns, cut sides down, to grill to toast for the last few minutes.
• Spread buns with cheddar mixture; fill with bacon, franks and pickle mixture.

FULLY LOADED BACON-WRAPPED HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Carefully break 4 toothpicks in half. Wrap each hot dog in a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick half at each end. Set aside.
• Bring a large skillet or grill pan sprayed with nonstick spray to medium-high heat on the stove.
• Add onion, bell pepper, and jalapeno pepper and cook until softened, about 4 minutes. Remove from the skillet/pan and set aside.
• Remove the skillet/pan from heat, re-spray, and bring to medium heat. Add bacon-wrapped hot dogs and cook until bacon is crisp and fully cooked and hot dogs are heated through, about 6 minutes, rotating the hot dogs several times to evenly cook the bacon. Set aside.
• Evenly spread mayo inside the buns. Remove toothpicks from the hot dogs and place a bacon-wrapped dog in each bun. Top each dog with a teaspoon of mustard.
• Evenly distribute veggie mixture among the dogs. Eat up!

BACON-WRAPPED HOT DOG BITES

Steps:

• Heat oven to 400ºF.
• Wrap 1 bacon piece around each wiener piece; roll in combined sugar and pepper to evenly coat.
• Place, seam-sides down, in foil-lined rimmed baking sheet.
• Bake 22 to 24 min. or until bacon is crisp and golden brown, turning after 12 min.

MY BACON AND CHEESE HOT DOGS IN A BLANKET

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 375°; grab a large ungreased baking sheet or a couple of ungreased small ones.
• Unroll the crescent rolls into their 8 sections.
• For each section on the shortest end (opposite the point/tip), lay down 1/2 slice of cheese.
• Top cheese with 1/2 slice of bacon; Top bacon with uncooked hot dog.
• Roll everything up, starting with the short end just as if you were doing just a crescent roll, making sure the /tip/ is tucked underneath when you place it on your baking sheet(s).
• Place 4 wrapped dogs on each of the UNgreased small sheets OR all 8 dogs on the UNgreased large sheet.
• There should be a little space around each hot dog to allow the crescent roll to poof a little; the dogs should NOT be touching each other.
• Place in preheated oven for 13-15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown; Serve hot.
• NOTE: please don't use fat free cheese, it really doesn't melt well and the flavour is too plastic, LOL!

BAKED BEANS WITH BACON AND HOT DOGS

Steps:

• Set oven to 350 degrees F.
• Grease a 2-quart casserole dish.In a large bowl.
• In a skillet cook the bacon with onions until evenly browned.
• Add in garlic and cook stirring for 2 minutes; drain and place into a large bowl.
• Add in the 2 cans baked beans, molasses, prepared yellow mustard, dry mustard powder, seasoned salt, tomatoes and brown sugar (start with 1/2 cup and add in more to taste) mix well to combine.
• Mix in the hot dogs.
• Transfer to prepared casserole dish.
• Bake uncovered for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.

BACON-FLAVORED DOG BISCUITS

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
• Beat eggs in a large bowl. Stir in milk, water, salt, and bacon fat until well blended. Gradually stir in flour to make a stiff dough. Pinch off pieces of the dough and roll into 2 inch balls. Place on prepared baking sheet.
• Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes. Cool on racks. Store in a covered container in the refrigerator.
