BLUEBERRY-LEMONADE ICED TEA

Blueberry-Lemonade Iced Tea image

This is "the best" blueberry-lemonade iced tea I've ever had. Frozen (unsweetened) blueberries, Ocean Spray's Blueberry Juice Cocktail, sugar-free lemonade flavored drink mix and water, are the ingredients needed to make this tea. Note: prep time includes steeping the tea.

Provided by Cindi M Bauer

Categories     < 4 Hours

Time 1h25m

Yield 56 ounces

Number Of Ingredients 5

16 ounces frozen unsweetened frozen blueberries (purchased from Aldi's)
4 cups water
10 orange & black pekoe flavored tea bags (purchased from Aldi's)
3 cups blueberry juice (Ocean Spray Blueberry Juice Cocktail)
1 (1/2 ounce) container sugar-free lemonade-flavored drink mix (purchased from Aldi's)

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, add the frozen blueberries, and the water.
  • Bring water to a boil; stir once or twice while waiting for the water to come to a boil.
  • After the water comes to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer, cover the pan, and simmer the berries for 10 minutes.
  • Remove pan from the heat, and strain the water/blueberries.
  • Add the tea bags to the pan, cover the pan, and steep the tea for 1 hour.
  • Remove the tea bags from the pan, and strain the tea twice.
  • Pour the blueberry-tea into a heat proof glass pitcher.
  • To the pitcher, add one tub of the sugar-free lemonade flavored drink mix, and give the mixture a good stir.
  • Add the blueberry juice to the pitcher, and stir.
  • At this point you can immediately serve the tea in a glass filled with ice, or you can chill the tea in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

LEMONADE ICED TEA

Lemonade Iced Tea image

I make at least a gallon of this every day. Simple and satisfying. My husband has to have his sweet tea, so this cuts back the calories and stretches those little tubs. For those who don't use sugar substitutes, I have also made it with lemonade flavored kool aid and sugar- the ice cool lemonade flavor goes great in it.

Provided by Random Rachel

Categories     Beverages

Time 5m

Yield 12 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

3 regular tea bags (orange pekoe and black)
1 (1/2 ounce) container sugar-free lemonade-flavored drink mix (Crystal Light, etc.)
1 gallon water, divided

Steps:

  • Bring 2-3 cups of water to a boil. Pour into gallon size pitcher, add tea bags and steep for 5-10 minutes, to taste. (I have left it overnight before; leave it as long as you like, the longer it steeps the stronger it gets, but 10 minutes is sufficient.).
  • Remove tea bags, and add the lemonade mix. Top with cold water and ice to fill the pitcher. I usually don't have ice, and just chill it a few hours in my fridge.

PINK LEMONADE ICED TEA

Pink Lemonade Iced Tea image

This cool summer drink has the flavor of old time ice tea. I received this recipe from a aunt many years ago and I still prefer this over the powdered or bottled kind? I always wondered what it would taste like if I added frozen raspberry juice instead of the lemonade. Maybe this will be the summer that I try it!
