Make your own delicious Mexican Bionico at home in minutes! Fresh fruit covered in a delicious sauce made with sweetened condensed milk and yogurt. Add all your favorite toppings.

1/2 cup plain yogurt (nonfat or full fat)
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk (more to taste)
2 tbsp sour cream (reduced fat or full fat)
1 tsp vanilla extract
6 cups fresh fruit (strawberries, bananas, apples, cantaloupe, grapes, papaya)
1/2 cup granola

Steps:

  • Cut the fruit into bite-sized pieces. It can be the suggested fruit or you can swap in any you like.
  • In a bowl combine yogurt with condensed milk, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Stir until mixed well.
  • Top the fruit with 2 tbsp of the yogurt mixture milk sauce and 2 tbsp granola. You can also add shredded coconut, honey, sliced almonds, raisins, and more.

Bionicos are tasty fruit bowls, drizzled with crema - a combination of yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, and Mexican crema. Any seasonal fresh fruit can be used. They originated in street food carts in Guadalajara, Mexico, and are commonly topped with shredded coconut, raisins, and granola.

⅓ cup plain yogurt
⅓ cup sweetened condensed milk
⅓ cup Mexican crema
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup diced cantaloupe
1 cup diced papaya
1 cup diced red apple
1 cup sliced banana
1 cup sliced strawberries
½ cup granola
½ cup raisins
½ cup shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Mix yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, and crema in a bowl. Add vanilla extract and stir until well incorporated.
  • Divide cantaloupe, papaya, apple, and banana among 4 individual bowls, arranging them in separate sections. Place strawberries in the center of each bowl. Top each bowl with 1/8 cup each granola, raisins, and coconut.
  • Drizzle 1/4 cup of the crema mixture over each fruit bowl.

Multi fruit salad perfect for breakfast or lunch. It can also be presented in seperate bowls for parties... sorta like a build-a-salad or even a fruit dip. Nestle' has a brand called La Lechera - their sweetened condensed milk comes in different flavors and there is a low fat option as well. There no limits to what fruits you can use... I hate papaya so i substituted for grapes instead. iIf you can not find granola - use oat & honey breakfast bars...crush them in a baggie

2 mangoes
2 apples
3 bananas
1 pint strawberry
1/2 lb grapes
2 pears
1 (32 ounce) container plain yogurt
1 (8 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
granola cereal, to taste

Steps:

  • Peel & dice the fruit.
  • place in a covered bowl.
  • mix the yogurt & s.c. milk in a large bowl.
  • once it is comletely mixed it should be creamy & easy to pour.
  • place back into the yogurt tub & cover.
  • keeping these 2 seperate will keep the softer fruits from getting mushy.
  • place desired amount in a small bowl.
  • drizzle the yogurt mix.
  • top with granola.

4 cups strawberries, hulled and halved (about 1 1/4 pounds)
2 cups mangoes, chunks
2 cups melon, chunks
1 cup pineapple chunk
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup tequila (optional)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 -1 1/2 teaspoon dried dried ancho chile powder

Steps:

  • In large bowl, combine strawberries, mango, melon and pineapple. Add orange juice, lime juice, Tequila (if using) sugar, salt and chili powder to taste; mix well.
  • Chill at least 1 hour before serving.
