BEST EVER BANANA BREAD

- Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, stir together flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, combine the eggs, bananas, oil, buttermilk and vanilla; add to flour mixture, stirring just until combined. Fold in nuts. , Pour into a greased or parchment-lined 9x5-in. loaf pan. If desired, sprinkle with additional walnuts. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, 1-1/4 to 1-1/2 hours. Cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cream butter and sugar; mash bananas, beat 2 eggs and add to the bananas with vanilla and buttermilk; mix well and add to creamed butter and sugar; sift together flour, soda and salt; add to banana mixture, beat well; pour into 2 greased and floured 9x5x3-inch loaf pans; bake 45 to 50 minutes (I find this bread needs over an hour) or until bread pulls away from sides of pan; add topping.
- To prepare Topping: Melt butter in saucepan; add sugar and milk; cook until syrupy (like honey); remove from heat and add chopped pecans; pour over bread spreading to all the corners and place under broiler until bubbly and brown.
- Watch closely (this takes around 1 minute- maybe even less!).

BEST EVER BANANA BREAD
This really is the best banana bread I have ever tasted. Very moist and it freezes well. I also bake this in 3 small loaf pans however you may need to shorten the baking time.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Spray one 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick spray coating.
- Blend together the eggs, buttermilk, oil and bananas.

- Cream together butter and sugar.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly butter one 9-by-5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk together the flour, pecans, granulated sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt and nutmeg in a large bowl. Whisk together the eggs, melted butter, buttermilk, brown sugar and vanilla in a medium bowl; stir in the mashed bananas. I have been testing and trying banana bread recipes for the past couple of years trying to find "the best" one for my recipe collection. Recently, I noticed this recipe on a bag of flour that I purchased. The recipe on the bag carried the name "Best Ever Banana Bread". I figured I had to try it. I did and now I will look no further. - Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottoms only of 2 (8x4-inch) loaf pans or 1 (9x5-inch) loaf pan.
- In large bowl, mix sugar and butter. Add eggs, bananas, buttermilk and vanilla; beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.

- Cream butter, sugar, bananas and egg.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together EXCEPT for the cinnamon and 2 tsp of sugar.
- Add the dry ingredients alternatively with the sour milk. Try to end with dry ingredients. Add vanilla.
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Now -- heres the yummy trick- mix the cinnamon and 2 tsp sugar. Then grease the loaf pan and instead of dusting with flour, dust the pan with the cinnamon sugar mixture. Then pour in the batter and bake for 1-1.5 hours until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the middle.
- Notes:
- Sour milk is 3/4 cup of milk with one tablespoon of milk removed and replaced with one tablespoon of white vinegar.
- I like to make my banana bread in a larger cake pan so it cooks faster.
