This is a wonderful dessert for serving warm, topped with vanilla ice cream. I often make this recipe during apple season, when I usually have an abundance of apples on hand.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, mix apples and sugar together.
- Add rest of the dry ingredients and the nuts.
- Add oil and applesauce; mix well and pour into a greased 9"x13" baking pan. Bake for 35-45 minutes.
