BEEF & ELBOW MACARONI CASSEROLE WITH SOUR CREAM
Affectionately coined "Debbie's Casserole" in our household. Named after a family friend from church named Debbie N. This was a staple in our house and didn't last very long. My father in particular loved this recipe.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Brown ground beef with diced onion, salt, pepper & garlic salt.
- Cook Elbow macaroni until tender, drain and mix sour cream & noodles (only) together.
- Once noodles are coated with sour cream.
- Combine beef with tomato sauce and place 1/2 of mixture in a 8x10 dish.
- Add a layer of noodles and top with 2 slices of cheese.
- Repeat this once more, topping casserole with remaining cheese slices.
- Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.

- Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 13 x 9 casserole dish.
- Cook macaroni according to box; drain and toss with the 1 tbsp butter and 1/4 tsp salt. Place in bottom of 13 x 9 dish; set aside.
- Meanwhile, cook and crumble ground beef with the onion until no longer pink. Drain off fat.
- Return cooke, drained beef/onions to skillet.
- Stir in both cans of soup, milk, pepper and basil. Stir well.
- Pour evenly over the cooked macaroni in the casserole dish.
- Sprinkle with the shredded cheese.
- Bake at 350 for 15 - 20 minutes.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F & grease a baking casserole of your choice.
- In a wide skillet over medium heat, saute the ground beef until caramelized, roughly 5 to 8 minutes. Drain any excess oils.
- Add the onions & garlic. Saute until translucent.
- Add tomato sauce & pepper. Stir to combine & bring mixture to a brief simmer for another 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, parmesan cheese, & cottage or cream cheese. Whisk until evenly incorporated.
- Fold the pasta into your cheese mixture until evenly incorporated.
- Place half of the pasta mixture into your greased baking dish, then layer with half of the beef mixture.

- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Rinse in cold water to stop the cooking process. Add a splash of olive oil to prevent the noodles from sticking.
- Meanwhile, brown the ground beef in a skillet, breaking up any clumps. Drain any excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
