1/2 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Heat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Place bacon on paper towel-covered microwaveable plate. Microwave on HIGH 2-1/2 min. or just until bacon starts to cook but is not crisp. Cool slightly.
  • Wrap 1 bacon slice around each scallop. Thread 2 scallops onto each of 4 skewers.
  • Grill 7 to 8 min. or until scallops are done and bacon is crisp, turning frequently and brushing with barbecue sauce. Transfer to platter; sprinkle with pepper.

12 jumbo raw peeled deveined shrimp, 16 to 20 count per pound
12 large sea scallops, trimmed and well drained
1 lime, juiced and zested
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon grill seasoning or coarse salt and black pepper
1 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes
12 slices center cut or applewood smoked bacon, cut in 1/2
Toothpicks
3 scallions, very thinly sliced on an angle

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Place shrimp and scallops in a shallow dish or bowl. Dress seafood with lime juice and zest, a generous drizzle of sesame oil, grill seasoning and hot pepper flakes. Wrap each shrimp and scallop with a half slice of bacon. Wrap each shrimp working from head to tail, pulling bacon snuggly around the shrimp. Wrap the bacon around the outside of each scallop. Fasten bacon in place as necessary with picks.
  • Arrange the shrimp and scallops on a slotted baking pan, such as a broiler pan, to allow draining while bacon crisps. Bake shrimp and scallops 10 to 14 minutes, until shrimp is pink and curled, scallops are opaque and bacon is crisp. Shrimps may finish before the scallops.
  • Arrange cooked seafood on platter and sprinkle with chopped scallions.

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 lb large scallop
5 tablespoons maple syrup

Steps:

  • Partially Cook Bacon for 3-5 minutes in a pan, on medium heat, putting a plate or weight on the bacon to flatten it as it cooks. Do not overcook, as it will complete the cooking process on the BBQ. Remove from pan and place the partially cooked bacon slices on a paper towel and pat with papertowels to remove any excess grease, then set aside.
  • Lightly Salt the Scallops, and then wrap them with the partially cooked bacon and secure them with toothpicks.
  • Mix Maple Syrup and Dijon Mustard together, and coat the bacon wrapped scallops with the mixture, and refrigerate for (1) hour if you have the extra time, if not you can grill them right away.

I found the recipe on the Internet and really wanted to share it with you, my friends on "Zaar". Feel free to adjust the amount of Bourbon to your own liking. We found this just perfect. These can be served as an appetizer or main course.

24 peeled shrimp (26-30 count)
24 sea scallops
4 bamboo skewers for shrimp (soaked in water 10-15 minutes)
4 two-prong metal skewers for scallops
olive oil
24 slices bacon
salt and pepper
peach bourbon barbecue sauce (see below)
2 cups of your favorite barbecue sauce
substitute peach preserves
2 1/2 tablespoons Bourbon

Steps:

  • Place 6 shrimp on each bamboo skewer, leaving room on either end. Make certain to cover the end of the skewer with foil so it doesn't burn.
  • Wrap one piece of bacon around each scallop and place six scallops on each two-pronged skewer so they don't turn.
  • Brush both sldes of the shrimp and scallops with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the shrimp and scallop skewers on a medium hot grill. Keep an eye on them because they will cook quickly and you don't want to allow burning.
  • Grill for approximately 2-3 minutes per side. Take them off when they are ~80 percent done.

1 Tbsp White vinegar
12 slices bacon (thick-cut )
1 cup Dijon mustard (or English mustard)
Olive oil (or a spray like pam)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  • Rinse scallops under cold water and pat dry.
  • Place 6 skewers or 12 toothpicks in a shallow baking dish. Cover with water and a splash of white vinegar. The water keeps the skewers from burning and the vinegar adds a little acid. Set aside.
  • Lay bacon on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until brown but still pliable, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Rub the scallops with the mustard. Wrap each scallop with one piece of bacon, the browned side facing in. Thread two bacon-wrapped scallops on each skewer through the bacon to hold it in place. If using toothpicks secure the bacon to each scallop.

  • Cool for a few minutes and either remove the toothpicks or serve with a fork.

12 slices bacon (thin sliced)
cooking spray
assorted, in season vegetables or fruits

Steps:

  • Place vegetables on skewers. One type of vegetable per skewer.
  • Spray with olive oil cooking spray and sprinkle with pepper.
  • Place bacon slices on piece of aluminum foil on hot grill.
  • Add skewers of vegetables that will take longer to cook. Such as, potatoes, squash, larger fruits.
  • Cook bacon until soft. Flip to other side and cook just until starting to brown.
  • Add other vegetables and grill until charred and cooked to your liking.
  • Allow bacon to cool for a few minutes and wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each scallop. (see notes)

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 1/2 tablespoons paprika
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons garlic powder
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 tablespoon onion powder

1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the bacon strips on the parchment paper and bake until just beginning to get golden around the edges but still very pliable, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and set aside until cool enough to handle.
  • Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
