Steps:
- In a small saucepan, stir together water and sugar.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat; cook, stirring, until sugar is dissolved and mixture is translucent, about 30 seconds.
- Let cool completely before storing in an airtight container; chill, up to six months.
CANNABIS SIMPLE SYRUP
Steps:
- Add 3 cups water to a sauce pan over high heat. Once the water is boiling, turn down to low/medium heat.
- Add your decarbed cannabis into the water and mix. Add the sugar into the water 1 cup at a time, stirring to dissolve the sugar before adding the next cup.
- Once you get all the sugar added in, cover and cook over low/medium heat for 20 minutes. Be sure to keep a close eye on it, and stir often. You do not want this boiling very much, keep it at a very low boil.
- After 20 minutes, remove the cover and add the vegetable glycerin in and stir to combine. (the vegetable glycerin is very sticky, so be careful with it, it will make a mess!)
- After adding the vegetable glycerin in, cook for 7-9 minutes. Be sure to stir the whole time. The mixture will thicken a little.
- After the 7-9 minutes, strain the mixture with a strainer and cheesecloth.
- Keep stored in the fridge, covered. Enjoy!

SIMPLE SUGAR SYRUP
Simple Syrup is little more then a mixture of sugar and water. The sweetness and/or density is a matter of preference. Thin and medium syrup is best for cocktails, while thicker syrup is used for sundaes, fountain drinks and deserts.

PANCAKE SYRUP
My husband has fond memories of this pancake syrup recipe. Every Sunday morning, his dad would get up early to make the family pancakes and homemade syrup. They didn't have much money, but the kids never knew that. What they do remember is that their dad always had time to make their Sundays extra special. -Lorrie McCurdy, Farmington, New Mexico

Steps:
- Hot method:
- Combine the sugar and water in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Let the syrup cool, then store in a quart bottle.
- Cold method:
- Using a funnel, pour the sugar into a quart bottle. Add the water in small increments, capping and shaking between additions to loosen the sugar and free the trapped air. Once all the water has been added, continue to rotate the bottle until all the sugar is dissolved.
- Store in the refrigerator. It will firm up when cold, so allow to return to room temperature before using. The syrup will keep for 4 days, refrigerated.
