Time 26m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream (cold)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment.

CLASSIC SCONES WITH JAM & CLOTTED CREAM

Classic scones with jam & clotted cream image

You can have a batch of scones on the table in 20 minutes with Jane Hornby's storecupboard recipe, perfect for unexpected guests

Provided by Jane Hornby

Categories     Afternoon tea, Breakfast, Snack, Treat

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 9

350g self-raising flour, plus more for dusting
1 tsp baking powder
85g butter, cut into cubes
3 tbsp caster sugar
175ml milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
squeeze lemon juice (see tips below)
beaten egg, to glaze
jam and clotted cream, to serve

Steps:

  • Heat the oven to 220C/200C fan/gas 7. Tip the self-raising flour into a large bowl with ¼ tsp salt and the baking powder, then mix.
  • Add the butter, then rub in with your fingers until the mix looks like fine crumbs. Stir in the caster sugar.
  • Put the milk into a jug and heat in the microwave for about 30 secs until warm, but not hot. Add the vanilla extract and a squeeze of lemon juice, then set aside for a moment.
  • Put a baking tray in the oven. Make a well in the dry mix, then add the liquid and combine it quickly with a cutlery knife - it will seem pretty wet at first.
  • Scatter some flour onto the work surface and tip the dough out. Dredge the dough and your hands with a little more flour, then fold the dough over 2-3 times until it's a little smoother. Pat into a round about 4cm deep. Take a 5cm cutter (smooth-edged cutters tend to cut more cleanly, giving a better rise) and dip it into some flour. Plunge into the dough, then repeat until you have four scones. You may need to press what's left of the dough back into a round to cut out another four.
  • Brush the tops with a beaten egg, then carefully arrange on the hot baking tray. Bake for 10 mins until risen and golden on the top. Eat just warm or cold on the day of baking, generously topped with jam and clotted cream. If freezing, freeze once cool. Defrost, then put in a low oven (about 160C/140C fan/gas 3) for a few minutes to refresh.

THE BEST CLASSIC CREAM SCONES

The Best Classic Cream Scones image

The Best Classic Cream Scones recipe - step by step recipe with tips on how to make perfectly flaky, buttery cream scones. Easy to make and addictively delicious.US based cup, teaspoon, tablespoon measurements. Common Measurement Conversions

Categories     Afternoon     Breakfast     Brunch

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 10

14.10 oz AP flour (chilled - 3 cups spoon and leveled)
5 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3 tbsp sugar
6 oz unsalted butter (12 tbsp) (cut into cubes and chilled)
1 ¼ cup heavy whipping cream (chilled)
1 tsp vanilla
Extra cream or milk for brushing on top
Extra coarse sugar to sprinkle on top (optional)

Steps:

  • Place the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar in a bowl.
  • Add the butter. You can cut the butter into the flour using a pastry cutter, OR use your fingers to rub the butter into the flour. You should have pea sized butter pieces in the flour, while it looks coarse overall.
  • Mix the vanilla into the cream, and pour it gradually into the flour and butter mix. Use a fork to mix the cream into the flour until it's all incorporated and you have a shaggy looking lumpy dough.
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly dusted parchment paper (the same parchment paper that will be used to bake the scones). Lightly dust the surface of the scones, and bring the dough together to form a cohesive dough. Pat the dough out to a 6 - 8 inch circle or square.
  • Cut the dough in half, and place one half on top of the other. Place a parchment paper on top, and roll out the scone dough to another 6 - 8 inch circle or square (you can use your hands to pat the dough too). Repeat the process of cutting and layering the dough (once or twice more).
  • Final roll out - here you roll out the scone dough to a rough square while making sure that the dough is about ½ - ¾ of an inch high. Roughly cut and remove just the edges of the dough with a clean knife.
  • Cut the dough into 16 pieces (4 x 4), making sure to clean the knife after each cut. Cut the scones STRAIGHT DOWN with a sharp knife, to make sure your scones have clean edges and will rise properly. If you are using a biscuit cutter, lightly dust the cutter, and cut the dough straight down for clean cuts.
  • Place the cut scones in the freezer for about 10 - 15 minutes until the oven preheats.
  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Place the scones (with the parchment paper) on a baking tray. Separate the scones, as mentioned below, before baking (you may need to use a spatula to help release the scones off the parchment paper from the bottom).
  • For soft sides - scones should be touching each other before going into the oven. For soft and crunchy sides - scones should be placed about 1 - 1 ½ cm apart. For crunchy sides - place the scones about 2 inches apart.
  • Brush ONLY the tops of the scones with milk or cream. Sprinkle some coarse sugar on top of the scones (optional).
  • Place the scones in the oven, and reduce the temperature to 400°F. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the scones turn a beautiful golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool down a little.
  • Eat while warm, or if cold, warm them up in the microwave for about 20 - 30 seconds. Serve with butter, jam and cream.

HOW TO MAKE PERFECT SCONES

How to Make Perfect Scones image

Use this basic scone dough for any sweet scone variety. See blog post for a couple savory scone options. Feel free to increase the vanilla extract and/or add other flavor extracts such as lemon extract or coconut extract. Read through the recipe before beginning. You can skip the chilling for 15 minutes prior to baking, but I highly recommend it to prevent the scones from over-spreading.

Categories     Breakfast

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour (spoon & leveled), plus more for hands and work surface
1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup (1 stick; 115g) unsalted butter, frozen
1/2 cup (120ml) heavy cream or buttermilk (plus 2 Tbsp for brushing)
1 large egg
1 and 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1-1.5 cups add-ins such as chocolate chips, berries, nuts, fruit, etc
optional: coarse sugar for topping

Steps:

  • Whisk flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder together in a large bowl. Grate the frozen butter using a box grater. Add it to the flour mixture and combine with a pastry cutter, two forks, or your fingers until the mixture comes together in pea-sized crumbs. See video above for a closer look at the texture. Place in the refrigerator or freezer as you mix the wet ingredients together.
  • Whisk 1/2 cup heavy cream, the egg, and vanilla extract together in a small bowl. Drizzle over the flour mixture, add the add-ins, then mix together until everything appears moistened.
  • Pour onto the counter and, with floured hands, work dough into a ball as best you can. Dough will be sticky. If it's too sticky, add a little more flour. If it seems too dry, add 1-2 more Tablespoons heavy cream. Press into an 8-inch disc and, with a sharp knife or bench scraper, cut into 8 wedges. For smaller scones, press dough into two 5-inch discs and cut each into 8 wedges. To make 10-12 drop scones: Keep mixing dough in the bowl until it comes together. Drop scones, about 1/4 cup of dough each, 3 inches apart on a lined baking sheet. To make mini (petite) scones, see recipe note.
  • Brush scones with remaining heavy cream and for extra crunch, sprinkle with coarse sugar. (You can do this before or after refrigerating in the next step.)
  • Place scones on a plate or lined baking sheet (if your fridge has space!) and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
  • Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat(s). If making mini or drop scones, use 2 baking sheets. After refrigerating, arrange scones 2-3 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet(s).
  • Bake for 18-26 minutes or until golden brown around the edges and lightly browned on top. Larger scones take closer to 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool for a few minutes. Feel free to top with any of the toppings listed in the recipe Note below.
  • Leftover scones keep well at room temperature for 2 days or in the refrigerator for 5 days.

Time 22m

Number Of Ingredients 9

3 cups / 450g self raising flour ((Note 1))
80 g / 3 oz cold salted butter (, cut into 1 cm / 2/5" cubes (Note 2))
1 cup / 250 ml milk, fridge cold (Note 2)
Extra flour (, for dusting)
Extra milk (, for brushing)
Strawberry jam ((or other of choice))
250 ml / 1 cup whipping cream
1 tbsp white sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract ((optional))

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200C/390F (standard) or 180C/350F (fan / convection).
  • Place flour in food processor, then butter. Blitz on high for 8 seconds until it resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Pour milk all over the flour (don't pour in one place). Blitz for 6 to 8 seconds on high until the crumbs turn into ball(s).
  • Transfer dough onto work surface, scrape out residual bits in the food processor.
  • Knead lightly no more than 10 times just to bring the dough together into one smooth ball, then pat down into a 2 cm / 4/5" thick disc. Dust with extra flour if necessary (I don't need it).
  • Optional: Lightly roll across the top with a rolling pin to smooth the top.
  • Dip a 5 cm / 2" round cutter into Extra Flour.
  • Plunge cutter straight down and back out into dough - do not twist. Repeat all over disc.
  • Remove excess dough from around scones, then carefully transfer scones onto baking tray, taking care not to smear / press the cut sides. (Note 4)
  • Gather together dough scraps and repeat. I get 10 scones in total.
  • Brush tops lightly with milk. (Optional)
  • Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the top is golden and it sounds hollow when tapped.
  • Remove from oven, then transfer onto dish towel and wrap loosely (makes top soft).
  • Once cooled to warm (10 - 15 minutes), serve warm.
  • Tradition is to split the scone with hands (no knife!), slather with jam and dollop on cream.

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups all-purpose flour
⅓ cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, frozen
½ cup raisins (or dried currants)
½ cup sour cream
1 large egg

Steps:

  • Adjust oven rack to lower-middle position and preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • In a medium bowl, mix flour, 1/3 cup sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Grate butter into flour mixture on the large holes of a box grater; use your fingers to work in butter (mixture should resemble coarse meal), then stir in raisins.
  • In a small bowl, whisk sour cream and egg until smooth.
  • Using a fork, stir sour cream mixture into flour mixture until large dough clumps form. Use your hands to press the dough against the bowl into a ball. (The dough will be sticky in places, and there may not seem to be enough liquid at first, but as you press, the dough will come together.)
  • Place on a lightly floured surface and pat into a 7- to 8-inch circle about 3/4-inch thick. Sprinkle with remaining 1 tsp. of sugar. Use a sharp knife to cut into 8 triangles; place on a cookie sheet (preferably lined with parchment paper), about 1 inch apart. Bake until golden, about 15 to 17 minutes. CLASSIC CREAM SCONES

Classic Cream Scones image

You're best off describing scones to a German by saying that they are like a cross between a Kuchen (cake), a Plaetzchen (cookie), and a Broetchen (roll), but are very unique and not really like anything else found in Germany. My German husband *loves* this recipe: Classic Cream Scones (from Simply Scones, by Leslie Weiner and Barbara Albright)

Provided by Barbara Heller

Categories     Scones

Time 1h25m

Yield 14 scones

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup unsalted butter, chilled
1/2 cup heavy cream (whipping)
1 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup currants or 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1 egg, mixed with 1 teaspoon water for glaze (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425F.
  • Lightly butter a baking sheet. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut the butter into 1/2-inch cubes and distribute them over the flour mixture. • In a small bowl, stir together the cream, egg, and vanilla.
  • Add the cream mixture to the flour mixture and stir until combines.
  • Stir in the currents/raisins (optional). With lightly floured hands, pat the dough into a 1/2-inch thickness on a lightly floured cutting board.
  • Using a floured 2 1/2-inch-diameter round biscuit cutter or a glass, cut out rounds from the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Gather the scraps together and repeat until all the dough is used.
  • Lightly brush the tops of the scones with the egg mixture, if desired.
  • Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
  • Remove the baking sheet to a wire rack and cool for 5 minutes.
  • Using a spatula, transfer the scones to the wire rack to cool.
  • Serve warm or cool completely and store in an airtight container.

CLASSIC CREAM SCONES

Classic Cream Scones image

Being a vintage cookbook collector is a bit like any hobby--it starts off reasonable, maybe one book here or there, on a topic of interest. But a few years in, it's obvious that your hobby is a bit more of an obsession. I have run out of shelf space, my husband has ineffectively put a moratorium on any new old books, and I have an arcane organizational system, based on regional cuisine. I'm officially hooked. The books by Louis P. De Gouy make up a substantial percentage of shelf space, and with good reason--they're brilliant. Written with the passion and love of a true nerd, it's obvious that De Gouy enjoys eating as much as cooking. One recipe has always eluded me: perfect scones. I grew up eating Australian-style scones (my mom and nana are both Aussies), which are quite different from their American cousins. American scones (rhymes with "owns") are basically muffin tops. Sweet with a nice crumbly texture. Australian scones (rhymes with "hans") are barely sweet (that's what the jam is for!) with a delicate, ephemeral texture. I had a very specific flavor and texture in mind, but could never quite get it right. One day I was flipping through my vintage cookbook collection and came across De Gouy's scone section in "The Bread Tray." My eyes immediately went to "Cream Scones II." Rich and with only a few teaspoons of sugar, these seemed like just the thing. I made some adjustments to lighten the texture, and here we have a perfect Aussie scone. Make sure to have several jars of your favorite jam ready--an entire plate will easily disappear. They're remarkable easy to freeze too (I freeze the cut-out dough for on demand scones)!

THE BEST SCONES RECIPE

The Best Scones Recipe image

No, your scone is NOT supposed to be a sad dry heap of useless carbs! The best scones are crispy on the edges and tender in the middle. They are buttery, flaky, perfectly moist pieces of breakfast perfection that are surprisingly easy to make with a few tips. Don't let the sad coffeehouse selections fool you into thinking you don't like scones. You just haven't tried this recipe yet!

Categories     Breakfast     Snack

Time 1h5m

Number Of Ingredients 17

2 & 1/2 cups all purpose flour (spooned and leveled)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 & 1/2 tablespoons baking powder (yes really)
1/2 cup butter ((1 stick) COLD butter, frozen butter is great too)
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup heavy cream*
1/3 cup sour cream
more cream (for brushing)
1 (8-oz) package COLD cream cheese (chopped)
1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar (for coating cream cheese)
2 tablespoons butter (very soft)
1 & 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1-3 tablespoons milk

Steps:

  • Dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine 2 and 1/2 cups flour, 1/2 cup sugar**, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1 and 1/2 tablespoons baking powder.
  • Wet ingredients: In another medium bowl, add 1 egg, 2 teaspoons vanilla (omit for savory scones), 1/3 cup cream and 1/3 cup sour cream. Whisk it together. Set aside.
  • Cut in butter: Now back to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter to cut in the COLD or frozen butter. You can also grate the butter using a cheese grater and mix it in that way. Cut the butter in until it is incorporated and there are still pieces of butter about the size of a pea. Don't overdo it! See photos.
  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Use a wooden spoon to stir it together until it forms a shaggy dough.
  • Coat your hands with flour and finish kneading the dough in as few strokes as possible. (Overworking the dough makes for a tough scone.) Use your hands to fold the dough on top of itself, creating more and more layers until it has come together and all the flour is incorporated. You can add a tablespoon or two of ice cold water if you think it's necessary. I try to get the dough to come together in 5-8 folds. Do your best and remember that you will get better with practice!
  • Mix-ins: At this point add in any mix ins you plan to use. (If you want to add cream cheese like you can see in the photos, chop an 8 ounce block of cream cheese into 1/2 inch chunks. Coat with 1/3 to 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl, making sure all the cream cheese is coated. Carefully fold into the dough.)
  • Prepare a work space with plenty of flour. I like to use a pastry cloth. Transfer the dough to the work place and use your hands to shape the dough into a 6 to 8 inch circle. I like really thick, tall scones. The thicker your circle of dough is, the taller your scones will be. If you added mix ins, your circle will be a bit larger.
  • Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the circle in half. Cut each half into 3 equal triangles.
  • Place on a baking sheet that has been lined with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Place the scones at least 3 inches apart from each other.
  • Freeze for 30 minutes.*** If you don't have room in your freezer, you can put them in the fridge for 45 minutes. If you don't have room to chill a whole baking sheet, place the scones on a plate and then transfer to the baking sheet when they are frozen/cold.
  • 15 minutes before the scones are done freezing, turn your oven on to 400 degrees F.
  • Place the cold scones on a baking sheet if you haven't done so yet.
  • Brush the top of each scone with cream. This will make the scones get nice and brown. Top each scone with coarse sugar if you like, or a bit of salt if you are doing savory scones.
  • Bake: Put the scones in the oven and bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees.
  • Turn the heat down to 375 without opening the oven.**** Bake for another 8-15 minutes, until the tops are golden brown. DO NOT OVER BAKE. This is where the magic happens, so stay nearby. If you over bake your scones, they will be dry even if you did everything else right. If you are not sure, use a spatula to lift up one of the scones. If they are a nice golden brown on the bottom, they are done.
  • Remove from the oven and let set up on the pan for 10-15 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • Make the glaze: in a small bowl, whisk or use an electric beater to cream 2 tablespoons of very soft butter. Add 1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1 tablespoon milk. Whisk together and add more milk until you have a consistency you like. Drizzle over the tops of the scones and let harden (it usually takes 20-30 minutes.)
  • Top your scones with butter and jam! They are great reheated in the microwave.
  • Store scones covered on the counter for 2-4 days. They are best eaten on day 1 so that you can get those crispy edges. After storing for a while it's hard to avoid a bit of sogginess. Categories     Scones

Time 22m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into 6 pieces
2/3 cup heavy cream
2 eggs, beaten
coarse white decorator sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • Fit food processor with steel blade. Place flour, granulated sugar, baking powder and salt in work bowl. Pulse on/off to mix. Add butter; process 10 seconds or until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Transfer to large bowl.
  • Combine heavy cream and eggs; reserve 1 tablespoon. Pour remaining cream mixture over flour mixture. Stir just until dry ingredients are moistened and dough is soft.
  • Turn out dough onto lightly floured surface. Shape into ball; pat into 8-inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges; place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Brush reserved cream mixture over tops; sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  • Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until golden. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
  • Chocolate Lavender Scones: Add 1 teaspoon dried lavender to dry ingredients. Stir 1/2 cup coarsely chopped semisweet chocolate into dough before shaping.
  • Ginger Peach Scones: Stir 1 tablespoon finely chopped crystallized ginger and 1/3 cup chopped dried peaches into dough before shaping.
  • Lemon Poppyseed Scones: Stir grated peel of 1 lemon (about 3-1/2 teaspoons) and 1 tablespoon poppy seeds into dough before shaping. Omit coarse sugar topping. When scones have cooled slightly, drizzle with lemon icing made from 1 cup powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons lemon juice (add up to 1-1/2 teaspoons more lemon juice, if necessary, for desired consistency).
  • Maple Pecan Scones: Stir 1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans into dough before shaping. Omit coarse sugar topping. When scones have cooled slightly, drizzle with maple icing made from 3/4 cup powdered sugar and 2 tablespoons maple syrup.
  • Mini Scones: Divide dough into 2 balls before shaping into rounds and cutting into wedges. Makes 16
  • Round Scones: Cut dough into rounds using lightly floured cookie or biscuit cutter.

KETO SCONES WITH ALMOND FLOUR

Keto Scones with Almond Flour image

Channel your inner Brit and serve keto scones for afternoon tea! Filled with clotted cream and lashings of sugar free strawberry jam, these buttery, flaky almond flour scones are a real low carb treat.

Provided by Katrin Nürnberger

Categories     Snack

Time 23m

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 1/4 cup / 225g almond flour (or ground almonds. Use 2 cups if your almond flour is super-fine)
1/4 cup / 60g butter (melted)
1/4 cup / 45g granulated sweetener
1 egg (large, room temperature)
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
zest of 1 lemon
1 egg (beaten, for brushing the tops (you'll only use 1/2))

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius / 350 Fahrenheit.
  • Combine the dry ingredients - almond flour, erythritol, baking powder - in a bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, lemon zest, vanilla and egg. Stir into the dry ingredients until a dough forms, or use an electric mixer.
  • Form a dough ball and place onto a baking pan lined with parchment paper. Flatten into a disc shape, about 1 inch thick. Cut out 5-6 scones using a cookie cutter (or use your hands to form scone shapes). Move them apart and brush the tops with beaten egg.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes until golden. Let cool completely in the pan - these scones are fragile when hot but they firm up as they cool down.

ONE BOWL CREAM SCONES (NO BUTTER, SO EASY)

One Bowl Cream Scones (no butter, so easy) image

One bowl cream scones (no butter, no mixer) are the easiest, most delicious scones you've ever eaten. Make them plain, or add an endless array of flavors and add-ins.

Provided by Camilla Saulsbury

Categories     1-Bowl Biscuits & Scones

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
2 teaspoons (8 g) baking powder
3/4 teaspoon (4 g) salt
1 cup (250 mL) heavy cream or whipping cream (30 to 36% fat), divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon Turbinado sugar (or granulated sugar)

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Set aside 1 tablespoon (15 mL) of the cream. Drizzle the remaining cream, and the vanilla, over the flour mixture. Using a fork, gently combine into a thick dough, making sure to scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
  • Turn the dough out onto a small, lightly floured board or dinner plate (one that will fit in your freezer). Gently pat the dough into an even, 6-inch (7.5 cm) circle, about 3/4-inch (1.875 cm) thick. Brush with the reserved tablespoon of cream and sprinkle with the Turbinado sugar.
  • Place the dough circle into the freezer for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 425F (215C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Remove the chilled dough from the freezer and place it on the prepared baking sheet. Cut the circle into 8 equal wedges. Carefully pull the wedges away from each other (creating 1 to 2 inches space between the scones).
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until risen and golden brown.
  • Serve immediately, warm, or transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.
