THE BEST FROSTED BANANA BARS
These super moist, frosted banana bars are the perfect dessert for any occasion! Bake in a 9×13 pan and top with smooth cream cheese frosting for the perfect dessert for a crowd!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray metal 9x13" pan with nonstick cooking spray and lightly dust with flour (or cover in parchment paper). See notes below for baking in jelly roll pan.
- In a small mixing bowl, mash bananas with a fork until broken up. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth (about 1 minute). While the mixer is on low, add in the eggs, sour cream, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Add cornstarch and flour and mix until combined. Lastly, mix in mashed bananas until incorporated; do not overmix.
- Pour batter into greased 9×13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 28-30 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Top should be slightly golden brown, as shown in the photo above. Allow bars to cool completely before frosting.

- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in the eggs, bananas and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; stir into creamed mixture just until blended., Transfer to a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack., For frosting, in a small bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until fluffy. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla; beat until smooth. Frost bars.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottom and sides of rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches, with shortening. In large bowl, mix granulated sugar, bananas, oil and eggs with spoon. Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Spread in pan.
- Bake bars 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, about 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, in medium bowl, mix cream cheese, butter and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until blended. Gradually beat in powdered sugar with spoon, scraping bowl occasionally, until smooth and spreadable.
- Spread cooled bars with Cream Cheese Frosting. For bars, cut into 6 row by 4 rows. Store covered in refrigerator.

- 1. Preheat oven to 400°. 2. To prepare bars, combine banana, brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon butter in an 8-inch square baking dish. Bake at 400° for 35 minutes, stirring after 17 minutes. Cool slightly. 3. Reduce the oven temperature to 375°. 4. Weigh or lightly spoon cake flour into dry measuring cups; level with a knife. Combine 9 ounces (about 2 1/4 cups) flour, soda, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Combine banana mixture, buttermilk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla in another medium bowl.
