Tender pork combined with apples and raisins is a family favorite for us! I've substituted dried cranberries for the raisins, and that was so good too! Recipe can be altered if serving more people.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
4 (6 ounce) pork chops, 1 1/2 to 2-inches thick
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sage
2 medium tart apples, cored and sliced
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup hot water
1 tablespoon white vinegar
½ cup raisins

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry pork chops on each side until browned, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a baking dish, reserving the drippings in the skillet. Cover pork chops with apple slices and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Stir the flour into the fat in the skillet until smooth. Whisk in the water and vinegar. Simmer over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Add raisins and pour over the pork chops. Cover the baking dish with a lid or aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove the aluminum foil for the last 20 minutes of cooking.

1 tablespoon canola oil
1 package (6 ounces) crushed stuffing mix
1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling with cinnamon
Minced fresh parsley, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown pork chops in oil over medium-high heat. Meanwhile, prepare stuffing according to package directions. Spread pie filling into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Place the pork chops on top; spoon stuffing over chops., Cover and bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Uncover; bake until a thermometer reads 145°, about 10 minutes longer. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.

2/3 cup chopped celery
1/3 cup chopped onion

¼ cup butter
3 cups fresh bread crumbs
2 cups chopped apples
¼ cup chopped celery

salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

1 ½ cups water
¼ cup margarine
1 (6 ounce) package pork stuffing mix

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat; brown pork chops in the hot oil, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  • Bring water and margarine to a boil in a saucepan; add stuffing mix and cover. Remove saucepan from heat and let stand 5 minutes to absorb water. Remove cover and fluff stuffing with a fork.
  • Spread apple pie filling into the prepared baking dish; layer pork chops onto pie filling layer. Spoon stuffing over pork chops. Cover baking dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes. Remove aluminum foil and cook until pork is no longer pink in the center, about 10 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).

1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup sun-maid dried apple (cut in chunks)
1/2 cup sun-maid seedless raisin
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tablespoons fine dry breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons dry white wine
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
6 pork loin chops, cut 1 inch thick seasoned with salt pepper thyme
2 tablespoons cooking oil

Steps:

  • In saucepan combine apple juice and apples; simmer, covered, for 25 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add raisins and let stand 5 minutes; drain, reserving liquid.
  • Combine cooked fruit mixture, walnuts, and bread crumbs.
  • Stir together sugar, wine, lemon juice, and ginger.
  • Add to bread mixture, tossing lightly to moisten.
  • Cut pockets in fat side of seasoned chops, cutting lengthwise to bone.
  • Spoon about 1/3 cup of the stuffing mixture into each pocket.
  • If necessary, use wooden picks to hold pockets closed.
  • In large skillet brown chops in hot oil.
  • Place chops in 13x9x2-inch baking pan.
  • Sprinkle chops with a little salt and pepper.
  • Add ¼ cup reserved apple liquid to pan, adding water if necessary.
  • Bake chops, covered, in 350°F oven for 1 hour.

1 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup chopped granny smith apple
2 tablespoons chopped golden raisins
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar (or Splenda)
2 tablespoons instant minced onion
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon sage
2 tablespoons hot water
8 thin boneless pork loin chops (or 4 butterfly cut)
1 (8 ounce) package brown gravy mix

Steps:

  • Melt butter on high 1 min in a glass measuring cup covered with plastic leave room to vent.
  • In a medium bowl combine everything except chops and gravy.
  • Trim fat from chops. Place 4 on bottom of microwave proof baking dish. Divide stuffing onto the 4 chops, then cover stuffing with the 4 remaining chops.
  • Sprinkle 1/2 of dry brown gravy mix over the top of the chops, sprinkle the rest into the cooking dish. it will combine with the cooking juices.
  • Cover with wax paper and cook on power level 7 or 70 (roast) for 18-20 minute Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
  • If you don't like raisins, just add extra apples. You can also use this stuffing in your thanksgiving turkey--very delicious!

6 ounces dried California raisins
4 ounces brown sugar
8 center-cut pork chops
6 ounces unsalted butter
6 ounces demi-glace
Water
Salt
Corn flour
Vegetable oil

Steps:

  • Apple preparation:
  • Combine 3 apples, 6 ounces of dried raisins, 6 ounces of brown sugar, and let marinate for a few hours.
  • Pork chops:
  • In a hot pan, slowly grill the pork chops until completely cooked. Melt the unsalted butter, mix in the raisin, apple and sugar mixture, add 6 ounces of demi-glace, and saute until apples are soft.
  • Take 3 slices of apple for each serving and dip in water, sprinkle with salt, then coat in corn flour. Deep-fry the apples and place on each plate for garnish.
  • Serve with either sauteed fresh spinach or tropical rice and black beans.

4 bone in pork chops
0.5 (16 ounce) bag Pepperidge Farm Herb Stuffing
1 medium onion, chopped
3 celery ribs, chopped including tops
1 egg, beaten
6 tablespoons butter, divided
chicken broth
3 medium jonathan apples, unpeeled chopped (leave fairly chunky)
1/3-1/2 cup raisins
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional I did not use)
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
garlic salt
pepper
dried parsley
2 tablespoons canola oil (if necessary to brown pork chops)
nonstick cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Melt 4 tb of butter in skillet. Add onion and celery and saute gently until just tender.
  • In a smaller skillet melt 2 tb of butter. Add apple chunks and raisins and saute until just tender. Mix in pumpkin pie seasoning, brown sugar and water. (the optional tablespoon of lemon juice would go in the apples at this point if you choose to use it). Reduce heat to warm.
  • In a large bowl combine stuffing mix, sauteed vegetables, beaten egg and enough chicken broth to moisten to your liking. Lightly stir in 2/3 of the apple mix.
  • In a 2 quart baking dish that has been sprayed with non stick spray place stuffing.
  • Brown pork chops in same skillet vegetables were sauteed in adding canola oil if necessary. Season with garlic salt, pepper and parsley.
  • Place browned chops on top of stuffing. Cover baking pan with foil.
  • Bake chops and stuffing for 45 minutes to an hour.
  • Garnish pork chops with reserved apple/raisin mix and serve.

Steps:

  • Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • Melt the butter in a skillet.
  • Brown the pork chops on both sides in the butter.
  • Grease (or spray) a large baking dish.
  • Put the apple slices in the bottom of the dish.
  • Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon.

8 bone-in pork loin chops (3/4 inch thick and 8 ounces each)
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups apple cider or juice
3 tablespoons spicy brown mustard
3 medium apples, sliced
1/2 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup raisins
1/4 cup dried currants
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 cup cold water

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, brown pork chops in oil in batches on both sides. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Return all chops to the skillet. , Combine cider and mustard; pour over meat. Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 13-18 minutes or until a thermometer reads 160° Remove chops to a serving platter; keep warm., Add the apples, onions, raisins and currants to the skillet. Cover and cook over medium heat for 5-6 minutes or until apples are tender. Combine cornstarch and water until smooth; stir into apple mixture. 1/4 cup water
1 teaspoon beef bouillon powder
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon thyme, ground
2 large apples, cored
1/4 cup raisins
1 1/3 cups milk
3 tablespoons flour
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Melt butter in fry-pan and brown chops on both sides; add more butter if needed.

  • Slice apples crosswise into 1/2" slices; arrange on meat.
