1 onion, finely chopped
1 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 thin pork chops
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 440 degrees F (227 degrees C).
  • Whisk onion, ketchup, vinegar, honey, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and cayenne pepper together in a bowl until barbeque sauce is smooth.
  • Place pork chops on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper. Top each pork chop with 2 tablespoons barbeque sauce.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until pork chops are cooked through, about 30 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).

For the Chops:
6 center-cut loin pork chops, 3/4 to 1-inch thick
1 medium onion (halved and thinly sliced)
For the Sauce:
1/4 cup vinegar
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350 F. Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan with aluminum foil.
  • Arrange the pork chops in a single layer in the foil-lined pan and scatter the onion slices over the chops.
  • To make the barbecue sauce, whisk together all of the ingredients in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Pour the sauce over the pork chops.
  • Bake the pork chops, uncovered, for 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
  • Transfer the pork chops to a platter and spoon the sauce over them.

½ cup ketchup
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon celery seed
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
⅓ cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup water
1 bay leaf

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • In a skillet, heat a small amount of oil and brown both sides of the pork chops.
  • In a bowl combine ketchup, salt, celery seed, nutmeg, vinegar, water, and bay leaf; Pour over chops.
  • Bake in oven for 90 minutes. Turn chops once during baking.

1 cup barbecue sauce (kraft thick and spicy brown sugar)
3 tablespoons honey
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
salt and pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Salt and pepper chops.
  • Place in 13x9 dish.
  • Mix barbecue sauce, honey and vinegar in a small bowl.
  • Spoon half over chops.
  • Bake 20 minutes.
  • Flip chops and spoon remaining sauce over them.
  • Bake 20 minutes.
  • Spoon sauce over chops and bake until done or if done serve em up!
  • We had green bean casserole and mashed potatoes with them.

4 boneless pork loin chops (3/4 inch thick and 4 ounces each)
1/2 teaspoon salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons canola oil
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 bay leaf

Steps:

  • Sprinkle pork chops with 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper. In a large cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet, cook chops in oil until browned, 3-4 minutes on each side. , In a small bowl, combine the water, ketchup, vinegar, celery seed, nutmeg, bay leaf and remaining salt. Pour over pork; bring to a boil., Cover and bake at 350° until a thermometer reads 145°, 15-20 minutes. Discard bay leaf.

This is the very first cookbook recipe I ever made. My husband gave me Myra Waldo's "Encyclopedia of Cooking" for our first Christmas, and this was the first one I tried. Many of my previous recipes came from grandma's kitchen. This book has been a great friend throughout the years.

6 pork chops, cut 1 inch thick
1 cup water
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • Trim the fat from the chops and place the chops in a glass or pottery bowl.
  • Combine the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil, cooking over low heat 5 minutes.
  • Pour cooked ingredients over chops and let marinate 1 hour.
  • Arrange chops in a shallow dish; pour marinade over them.
  • ( I always used my iron dutch oven for this process).
  • Bake in a 350 degree oven for approximately 90 minutes basting occasionally.
  • Serve with your favorite side dishes.

1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1 1/2 lbs pork chops, cut about 1 1/4-inch thick

Steps:

  • Combine mustard, flour, sugar and salt.
  • Add vinegar, ketchup and water and mix thoroughly.
  • Pour over chops in a baking dish.
  • Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350° for 1-1/2 to 2 hours.
  • (If you need to stretch the cook time: 4-6 hrs on 200 or in a crock pot on low).

2 cups soy sauce
1 cup water
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon dark molasses
6 pork chops (1 to 1-1/2 inches thick)
SAUCE:
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup chili sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon water
1/2 teaspoon ground mustard

Steps:

  • In a saucepan, combine the soy sauce, water, brown sugar and molasses; bring to a boil. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Pour into a shallow glass container or large resealable plastic bag; add pork chops and turn to coat. Cover or seal and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Drain, discarding marinade; place chops in a shallow ungreased baking pan. Cover and bake at 375° for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil, stirring until smooth. Brush over both sides of the chops. Bake, uncovered, 30 minutes longer or until pork is no longer pink and glaze is lightly browned.
