Absolutely delicious and surprisingly simple recipe! How can only TWO ingredients be so fantastic? The two may not sound like a match, but you will be in love after one bite! Great appetizer - for parties, tailgating and more. I get requests for this at all of our get togethers.

I saw this recipe on Ricardo & Friends. Looks so yummy and easy to do. I guess that you can try with other olives. I will try with hot pepper stuffed olives. Note : Taste the olives the day before making the recipe. If they are too salty, soak them in cold water for up to 24 hours.

BACON-WRAPPED PRUNES
Also known as Devils on Horseback, these sinful bacon-wrapped bites are perfect for a Halloween party hors d'oeuvre. With just two ingredients and about five minutes of prep work, they couldn't be easier to prepare either. They're best served warm, so pop them in the oven right before your guests arrive.

- Taste the olives that you’re using to make sure they are not too salty. (Oil-packed olives are usually less salty.) If they are salty, or if they were packed in brine, rinse the olives well, or soak them in water for up to 4 hours to remove some of the salt.
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees then line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut bacon strips into thirds cross-wise to form 30 short strips.
- Cut each olive and each tomato in half at its equator. Put the cut sides of an olive and a tomato together, wrap in a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Arrange bacon wrapped olives and tomatoes on the baking sheet on their sides with the bacon seams facing up. Space as far apart as possible.
- Bake for 20 minutes then remove from the oven. Turn each one over then sprinkle with a bit of the brown sugar. Return the olives to the oven to bake for an additional 10–15 minutes or until the bacon reaches desired crispness. Remove from oven then let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!

- Place your top oven rack at the second-to-top level under your broiler, and then set your oven to broil.
- Cut strips of bacon in half or thirds, depending on the size of your olives, and wrap, tucking the seam under the olive. You can use plain olives or stuffed, but we found blue cheese stuffed olives so good.
- Place olives on a sheet pan, seam side down, then under the broiler. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bacon just starts to brown. Flip and broil another 3-4 minutes.
