EASY ALMOST HOMEMADE DOUGHNUTS
Steps:
- Separate the biscuits and cut out the center using a small biscuit cutter or battle cap.
- Heat oil in a Dutch oven or electric skillet over medium-high heat until the temperature reaches 350 degree F.
- Working in batches, gently drop doughnuts and doughnut holes into the heated oil. Fry for about 60-90 seconds, before gently flipping and frying for an additional 60 seconds or until the doughnuts are golden brown.
- Remove doughnuts from oil and gently toss in the sugar.
- Serve warm.
SUPER EASY DOUGHNUTS
Really quick and easy donuts made from ingredients you probably already have. My 3 year old loves these because he can have them whenever he wants. There's hardly any waiting time. Use any topping you want. Our favorite is powdered sugar!

- Stir the vinegar into the milk, and let stand for a few minutes until thick.
- In a medium bowl, cream together the shortening and sugar until smooth. Beat in the egg and vanilla until well blended. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the sugar mixture alternating with the vinegar and milk. Roll dough out on a floured surface to 1/3 inch thickness. Cut into doughnuts using a donut cutter. Let stand for about 10 minutes.
- Heat the oil in a large deep skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fry doughnuts in the hot oil until golden, turning over once. Drain on paper towels. Dust with confectioners' sugar while they are still warm, and serve immediately.

Got this recipe from another web site, yes there are other ones, not as good as the 'zaar. Nice and easy and taste like you worked your little buns off.

- In a large bowl combine cake mix, flour, water (or milk) and eggs.
- Beat on low for 5 minutes until batter is free of lumps.
- In a large deep skillet heat oil to 375 degrees.
- Using a small scoop about 2 tablespoons, carefully drop batter into hot oil.
- Cook in small batches for 5 minutes or until golden brown, turn over in 2 1/2 minutes.
- Carefully remove doughnuts from oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with confectioners sugar before serving, I use a paper bag.
