These are so easy and can be made with raspberry filling too!

1 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls
1/2 c almond paste
1/2 c powdered sugar
2 Tbsp milk
1/2 c sliced almonds

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • 2. Unroll the crescent rolls. Separate each one.
  • 3. Spread about 1 tsp of almond paste on each one. Roll from flat side to pointed side.
  • 4. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake 17 - 20 minutes until golden.
  • 5. Allow to cool. Drizzle powdered sugar and milk frosting over each crescent.

powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Unroll and separate crescents.
  • Spread 1 tbls almond filling on each unrolled crescent.
  • Roll up and bake according to package directions.
  • Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
  • These are best served warm.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup cold butter, cubed
1 large egg yolk
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
FILLING:
1 cup seedless raspberry jam
3/4 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1/3 cup finely chopped almonds
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 large egg white, lightly beaten
Coarse sugar

Steps:

  • Place flour in a large bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. In another bowl, whisk egg yolk, sour cream and vanilla until smooth; stir into flour mixture., Divide dough into 4 portions. Shape each into a disk; cover and refrigerate 30 minutes or until firm., Preheat oven to 350°. In a small bowl, mix raspberry jam, coconut, almonds and extract until blended. On a well-sugared surface, roll each portion of dough into a 10-in. circle. Spread about 1/3 cup filling over circles. Cut each into 12 wedges. Roll up wedges from the wide ends. Place 1 in. apart on parchment-lined baking sheets, point side down; curve to form crescents. Brush with egg white; sprinkle with coarse sugar., Bake 15-18 minutes or until set (do not brown). Remove from pans to wire racks to cool.

Decadent! Starting with refrigerater crescent rolls makes this incredibly easy, but no one would ever guess. Whenever I take it somewhere I have started taking the recipe along, because people always ask for it. In fact, that's how I got it too!

2 packages refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
8 ounces cream cheese
1 egg, separated
2/3 cup sugar, plus more for sprinkling
2 teaspoons almond extract (don't use imitation)
1 (2 ounce) package sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Unroll 1 package of crescent rolls across the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
  • (4 rectangles fit across the short way.) Press or stretch lightly to fit, and pinch perforations together to seal.
  • Mix cream cheese, egg yolk, almond extract and sugar.
  • Spread over 1st layer.
  • Unroll 2nd package of crescent rolls and stretch to fit over the top.
  • Slightly beat egg white and brush on top layer of crescent rolls.
  • Sprinkle with additional sugar, then sliced almonds.
  • Bake 20-25 minutes, till golden brown.
  • Cool completely before cutting.

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons almond extract
2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup ground almonds
1 cup powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Spray several cookie sheets with cooking spray.
  • With a mixer, beat the butter with sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add vanilla extract and almond extract, beat until incorporated.
  • Stir in the flour and almonds. Work flour mixture into a firm dough.
  • Working with 1 tablespoon of dough at a time, lightly roll and then shape it so the middle is thicker than both ends. Bend dough log into a crescent shape.
  • Place on greased cookie sheets and repeat until all dough is used.
  • Bake 12-15 minutes or until light brown.

3 tablespoons cinnamon
1 tablespoon flour
2 (8 ounce) tubes refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon orange juice or 1 tablespoon milk, mixed with
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
toasted slivered almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375ºF or temperature noted with crescent roll directions.
  • Lightly grease a cookie sheet.
  • Grate almond paste on large hole side of a box grater.
  • Add almond paste, butter, sugar, cinnamon and flour to food processor.
  • Mix until well blended.
  • Unroll crescent dough.
  • Divide each package into 4 rectangles.
  • Pinch center seams together securing the rectangle shape.
  • With a spatula, spread equal amounts of cinnamon almond filling over each rectangle.
  • Starting at the short end of each rectangle, roll dough into a roll and pinch seam closed.
  • Cut each roll into 3 equal pieces and slightly flatten with fingers.
  • Place each piece, side by side, on baking sheet(4 rows across and 6 rows down).
  • Bake 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool on wire rack.
  • While rolls are cooling, whisk powdered sugar with orange juice or milk mixed with almond extract.
  • Spread onto cooled rolls and sprinkle with toasted almonds while icing is still wet.

1/2 cup sugar
4 ounces butter, at room temperature
1 large egg
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
4 (8 ounce) packages crescent rolls
toasted slivered almonds (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven, with rack in center, to temp on crecent roll package.
  • Grate the almond paste on the large hole side of the grater.
  • With electric mixer, blend together the grated almond paste, sugar and butter until combined.
  • Beat on high until creamed, for at least 2 minutes.
  • Add egg and beat on high until a smooth paste, about 1 minute.
  • Mix in flour until just incorporated.
  • Unroll dough and separate into triangles.
  • Spread with filling and almond slivers, if using.
  • Roll dough towards point of triangle and curve into crescent shape.
  • Bake according to time on package.
  • Refrigerate any remaining filling for up to 4 days.
  • *Filling can be frozen for up to 1 month. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before using.*.
