12 wings
1 TB cornstarch
salt
pepper
1/2 cup thick teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup hot sauce

Steps:

  • In a bowl with a lid, add the wings, salt and pepper and cornstarch.
  • Put on the lid and give it a big shake, ensuring that the cornstarch coats all the wings.
  • Place in the basket of your air fryer and cook at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • Give the basket a shake half way through.
  • Add the sauces to a bowl with a lid.
  • Throw the wings into the sauce and give it a shake.

2 Lbs Chicken Wings
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
Small Pinch Salt/Pepper
1/2 Cup Teriyaki Sauce

Steps:

  • If using store bought teriyaki sauce it will need to be thickened. See notes.
  • Pat chicken wings dry with a paper towel. Toss with cornstarch, salt and pepper. Transfer wings to greased air fryer basket.
  • Air fry at 400ºF for 18-24 minutes or until just about cooked through (time will vary depending on size of wings). Toss wings in teriyaki sauce then return to air fryer basket. Spoon any sauce remaining in the bowl over the wings.
  • Air fry at 400ºF for 3 minutes or until wings are cooked through.

Nonstick cooking spray, for the basket
2 pounds chicken wings, split at the joint and tips removed
Kosher salt
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup hot sauce, such as Frank's RedHot
Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for serving

Steps:

  • Spray the basket of a 3.5-quart air fryer with cooking spray and set aside. Pat the chicken wings dry and sprinkle generously with salt. Place the wings in the fryer basket so they are not touching (if necessary to fit, line up the drumettes standing upright along the sides). Set the air fryer to 360 degrees F and cook for 12 minutes, then flip the wings with tongs and cook for 12 minutes more. Flip the wings again, increase the heat to 390 degrees F and cook until the outsides are extra-crispy, about 6 minutes more.
  • Meanwhile, warm the butter in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave until melted, about 1 minute. Whisk in the hot sauce.
  • Toss the wings with the butter mixture to coat in a large bowl and serve with dressing on the side.

2 dozen chicken wings, about 3 1/4 pounds, rinsed and patted dry
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Olive oil
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted in a skillet over medium heat until lightly browned
Leaves from 1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, chopped
1 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 cup grapefruit juice
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 fresh, hot red chile, halved
5 garlic cloves, halved
2-inch piece fresh ginger, smashed with the side of a large knife

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Season the chicken wings with salt and pepper and drizzle a little olive oil on them to prevent sticking. Lay the wings in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes or until the skin gets crispy and the wings are cooked through.
  • Meanwhile, combine the teriyaki sauce ingredients in a large saucepan. Simmer over low heat and reduce until slightly thickened. Pour the sauce into a large bowl. Dump the wings into the bowl and toss to coat them with the sauce. Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle with the sesame seeds and cilantro. Serve hot.
