Steps:
- Mix together the brown sugar and spices and rub them on the top and bottom of the chicken thighs. I usually put half the thighs into a bowl, shake half the spice mix over them and then turn them to coat on all sides. Repeat with the next half.
- Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer according to manufacturer's directions for 10 mins at 350 degrees. Using tongs, flip the thighs over and cook an additional 10 minutes or until the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165 degrees.
- Remove to a serving plate and keep warm.

BROWN SUGAR CHICKEN
This sauce is so sweet and good. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I found out the strange ingredients, but it turned out to be excellent. Serve extra sauce over rice or potatoes. This could also be made in a crockpot if you cook it on low for about 4 hours. Cooking time may vary, so check to make sure chicken is done.

- Whisk ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, sherry, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic together in a bowl until sugar has dissolved. Set katsu sauce aside.
- Preheat an air fryer to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Meanwhile, lay chicken pieces on a clean work surface. Season with salt and pepper.
- Place beaten eggs in a flat dish. Pour bread crumbs into a second flat dish. Dredge chicken pieces in egg and then in bread crumbs. Repeat by dredging chicken in egg and then bread crumbs again, pressing down so that the bread crumbs stick to the chicken.
- Place chicken pieces in the basket of the pre-heated air fryer. Spray the tops with nonstick cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10 minutes. Flip chicken pieces over using a spatula and spray the tops with nonstick cooking spray. Cook for 8 minutes more. Transfer chicken to a cutting board and slice. Serve with katsu sauce.
