Number Of Ingredients 6

1 pound ground meat (pork, beef, chicken, and turkey all work well)
1/3 cup chopped onion
One 4-ounce can diced green chiles
One 26-ounce can garlic and herbs spaghetti sauce
1/3 cup your favorite BBQ sauce (recommended: Wee Willy's Premium Bar-B-Q Sauce)
Cooked pasta, for serving

Steps:

  • Brown and drain ground meat, set aside. Saute the onions in a small amount of oil until soft and opaque. Add the onions, green chiles, spaghetti sauce and bar-b-q sauce to the browned ground meat. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 to 40 minutes. Serve over cooked pasta.

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 yellow onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon garlic salt
3 1/2 cups Neely's BBQ sauce, recipe follows
1 pound pork, beef, or chicken, cooked and chopped into bite-size pieces
1 pound spaghetti
2 cups ketchup
1 cup water
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
5 tablespoons light brown sugar
5 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon fresh ground black pepper
1/2 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon ground mustard
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Saute the pepper and onion until softened, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in the garlic salt. Add the BBQ sauce and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a low simmer and add the chopped meat.
  • Meanwhile, fill a large pot with water and bring to boil. Season liberally with salt and add spaghetti. Cook until al dente (firm but not hard), about 7 minutes, and drain. Toss spaghetti with sauce.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, reduce heat to simmer. Cooked uncovered, stirring frequently, for 1 hour 15 minutes.

4 cups spaghetti sauce
2 cups barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 lb pork or 1/2 lb beef, cooked, chopped
1 lb spaghetti, hot, cooked

Steps:

  • In the top of a double boiler set over boiling water, combine the spaghetti sauce, barbeque sauce,chilki powder, and brown sugar and cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.
  • Add the chopped pork or beef to the sauce mixture, cover, and cook 30 minutes longer.
  • Pour the mixture over the cooked spaghetti and serve. You can offer parmesan at the table, if you like.
