  • Can help with osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common health problem. It involves degeneration of the joints in the body, leading to symptoms such as joint pain and stiffness.
  • May drastically lower blood sugars and improve heart disease risk factors. This area of research is relatively new, but ginger may have powerful anti-diabetic properties.

A review of this research highlighted that ginger may have a positive impact on obesity through a number of different mechanisms, including appetite control and increasing thermogenesis (heat production).
  • Ease headaches and migraines. There’s been a fair amount of research into ginger and its pain-relieving properties, including its potential benefit for those who struggle with headaches and migraines.
